Except Berardi is not a Icardi replacement. He's a SS or Winger by trade not a CF.

Gervinho to Al Jazira falls through due to extreme wage demands.

Destro to Monaco falls through due to Roma and Monaco not being able to agree on the fee.

Varsljko looks like he's on his way to Napoli.

Official:

Milan sign Bertolacci

Palermo sign Cassini

Well we are talking about a 19 yo Brazilian kid/guy named Matheus Cassini. They bought him from Corinthians and he looks quite talented in the different youtube clips.

Catania's president Antonino Pulvirenti admitted his illegal involvement in 5 games that ended with 4 wins and a draw. However, he's arguing that the results happened without the external influence he issued. La Stamba reports that he payed 100,000 euro for each operation but denied betting on them while the other prosecuted club officials remained silent on the matter.

His lawyer, Fabio Lattanzi, issued a statement:

"Mr Antonino Pulvirenti, who a few days ago resigned from all corporate postions with Catania Calcio, today clarified his position during a long hearing in front of the investigating judge."

"Mr Pulvirenti admitted he had contact with other parties in order to influence the outcome of several matches, and he did this in order to save Catania from relegation."

"However, he expressed the belief, especially in the light of the reading of the documents, that those contacts did not have any real effect on the matches in question."

:palm:

The media expects Catania's demotion to Lega Pro or a severe points deduction at the start of next season. Andrea Abodi, Serie B's president, is addressing Catania and Calcio supporters on twitter at the moment saying the club holds direct responsibility on what happened after some of them asked for a similar punishment for the other 5 clubs involved. The scandal's impact will effect the players and officials who will receive various fines and bans.

or perhaps they play with the same intensity against juve and inter, but they look like chickens when they play juve while they look like madmen against the likes of kuzmanovic, juan jesus, and nagatomo.

also, the stuff i was talking about happened under the tanzi family who owned parma years ago. for sure it happens at other clubs as well but stays unreported.

That's last season. There are new TV deals for Serie A, La Liga, and the EPL

That EPL money though - fucking ridiculous.

QPR making the same amount of money that Bayern and Ateltico combined make from -league- TV revenue is just ridiculous... Not to mention they're 6 millions behind juve and are 12 millions ahead of us. :palm:

Why? If anything that's amazing how the league is protecting the clubs. Also some percent is also given to lower league clubs now IIRC.

Also,
Parachute payments are likely to rise significantly from the 2016-17 season, however, when the new Premier League TV rights deal takes effect. The £5.3bn domestic rights package is 65% higher than the current deal and the overseas rights have still to be agreed.

From the 2016-17 season relegated clubs will receive 55% of the equal share of broadcast revenue paid to Premier League clubs in the first year after relegation, 45% the following year and 20% in year three. Clubs relegated after a single season will receive 55% and 45% over two seasons with the third payment eliminated entirely.

Shortly after the Premier League announced the deal for domestic rights, it revealed that 20% of that would be invested in facilities for grassroots football, solidarity payments to lower-league clubs, encouraging participation, as well as education and support for disadvantaged groups.

Championship clubs currently receive £2.3m a season with League One clubs getting £360,000 a season and fourth-tier clubs being handed £240,000. Under the new arrangements the solidarity payments will be based on a percentage of a third-year parachute payment with Championship sides getting 30%, League One clubs 4.5% and League Two 3%.
