3-horse race for Scudetto currently. After Lazio plays Verona, all 3 teams will have 16 games left. Juventus and Inter with 8 home and 8 away. Lazio with 7 home and 9 away.

I'm bored so I'm doing this.

Inter

Away schedule:
4 against big teams: Atalanta, Roma, Lazio, Juventus
2 against midtable teams: Parma, Verona
2 against bottom teams: Spal, Genoa

Home schedule:
2 against 'big' teams: Milan, Napoli
3 against midtable teams: Sassuolo, Fiorentina, Torino
3 against bottom teams: Sampdoria, Brescia, Bologna

Juventus

Away schedule:
1 against big teams: Milan
3 against midtable teams: Sassuolo, Cagliari, Verona
4 against bottom teams: Spal, Bologna, Genoa, Udinese

Home schedule:
4 against big teams: Inter, Atalanta, Lazio, Roma
1 against midtable teams: Torino
3 against bottom teams: Brescia, Lecce, Sampdoria

Lazio

Away schedule:
3 against big teams: Juventus, Napoli, Atalanta
3 against midtable teams: Torino, Parma, Verona
3 against bottom teams: Genoa, Lecce, Udinese

Home schedule:
2 against big teams: Inter, Milan
3 against midtable teams: Sassuolo, Cagliari, Fiorentina
2 against bottom teams: Brescia, Bologna

You can argue about the placement of some teams like Torino (who are playing awful) or Bologna. Bologna are actually ahead of Sassuolo, so maybe that doesn't make much sense.

Anyway, Juventus are still clear favorites imo, mainly given that all of their tough games are at home. Their toughest away game is against Milan who's by far the weakest of the 'top' teams. For us, we need to travel to Lazio, Roma, Atalanta, and Juventus. Juventus has all of those games at home. Their trickiest away game is probably Verona, but we have that same fixture yet to play. Another thing in Juventus' favour is that their last 2 games, while they may seem difficult, I believe will be much simpler. Their last match is at home against Roma - I don't think Roma has taken even a point away to Juventus in probably something like 8 years. Similarly, their second last game is against Cagliari, and I believe Cagliari has also not taken point from Juventus at their own stadium in many years. Besides, they will probably be on vacation by the time that fixture rolls around.

We have the worst possible match as the last one. Atalanta is probably the one team in Serie A that will not roll over, even if they have nothing to play for. It has nothing to do with Gasperini and his Inter past (although I'm sure that will be motivation) but that's generally how they play - also, they're a terrible match up for us playing style wise.

We have a really great record away from home so far, but I think that's a little "deceiving" - we haven't really played any of the big teams away from home. If you look at the top 10 teams, we still have to play 6 of them away from home (6/9 given we are in the top 10). We haven't played any of the top 5 away from home.

Interesting to see how Lazio does and if they can keep up. They started the season with a 3-3-2 record, so they failed to win 5 of their first 8 games. Since then, they have won 12 out of 13. They have a tough match away to Parma prior to facing us, although I have a feeling they'll beat them. They seem to have a pretty good record against Parma since they came back - they've beaten them all 3 games.

Yeah, no question about it.

The toughest games for juve (on paper) are: Inter away, Atalanta away, Lazio away, Napoli away, Roma away. Aaand.. they literally won all those games comfortably except the loss to Lazio.

Meanwhile, our toughest games are juve, Atalanta, Lazio, Roma and Napoli away and as you mention, we haven't even played those games yet with the exception of the Napoli victory.

Everyone will have different ratings but I feel we were disappointing in the home legs against those big opponents. We got trashed at home by Atalanta but barely scraped a point. We got comprehensively outplayed by juve at home. Roma were dogshit but we failed to beat them at San Siro. We beat Lazio of course, but that was before they went on this insane streak.

As obvious as it sounds, I think this stretch will define the season and I highly doubt we'll still be within touching distance of juve afterwards. Unfortunately, I suspect the run of away games at difficult opponents, plus juve's run of home games will make the difference in their favor. Simply put, we either had to do better in the head-to-heads, or just be more consistent in December/January. Can't give up yet though, let's take it 1 game at a time.

Tomorrow at 20.45 is scheduled lazio-verona, the match that had been postponed due to the supercoppa, so we will finally have a complete table, which might have us in third place by the way.

I ferociously want this scudetto. I am not saying that I demand it, but i demand that our players believe it possible and fight for it till their sweat is mixed with blood.

So far, only in Conte I have seen this spirit, and maybe in handa, who by nature is not a very communicative person.

Torino have officially fired Walter Mazzarri. His replacement is going to be Moreno Longo.

GRANDE VERONA.
Luis Alberto could have scored like 3 goals but Verona had chances to win it too.

This Verona can definitely take points from RuBe on the weekend too.

Kumbulla and his CB partner were really good. Lazio, as always and unless they're playing Juve, can get to fuck.

Juventus

Away schedule:
1 against big teams: Milan
3 against midtable teams: Sassuolo, Cagliari, Verona
4 against bottom teams: Spal, Bologna, Genoa, Udinese

Home schedule:
4 against big teams: Inter, Atalanta, Lazio, Roma
1 against midtable teams: Torino
3 against bottom teams: Brescia, Lecce, Sampdoria

Genoa in despesate mode, Genoa away will not be easy for Juve
There is a chance that Genoa can steal a point from Juve

One thing for sure, if Inter can defeat Juve at toilet stadium chance for Inter win scudetto is bigger than ever
But with referee and other factors it will a miracle if Inter can de-throne Juve this season

Honestly I already have anxiety thinking about that Juve game.

Me for some reason not... it will be for sure hard but Juve gives me always this feeling that they are beatable. Lazio made that 2 times in 1 month. In my oppinion too much teams fear Juve, that's why it always looks easy when Juve dominates games. Fiorentina at Sunday had a good start but then stopped playing. Ones Juve made that 1-0 it was over for them, they didn't knew how to react once they made profit of the advantage, Juve is always good in that.
The secret is holding ball and avoid Juve doing possesion, like Napoli and Lazio did.

Tbf it’s worth mentioning we play a lot better away from home

Maybe that's because we haven't played any of the quality opponents away.
