Wow, brutal.
The sporting equivalence of fuck someone's wife & display a banner beneath his window for it.
Wow, brutal.
Nothing monetarily but the used our club to wash their dirty background. No, but the point Corrode made is still daft - Inter's been given a lot, and returned nothing (monetarily), to its owners.
To be honest, Comisso did a good deal. If the would have waited to the summer they maybe only get 50. And they risk Vlahovic wait one year and go to Juve on free transfer.I mean, serves them right.
Nothing on that banner rings untrue. If you act like obedient peasants, you get treated like obedient peasants.
It’s ultimately up to the Fiorentina fans to decide if they’re fine with having a President who will prostate himself and his club to Juventus. If ‘yes’, then that banner, however disrespectful, is very warranted.
That doesn’t negate the validity of the banner. To be honest, Comisso did a good deal. If the would have waited to the summer they maybe only get 50. And they risk Vlahovic wait one year and go to Juve on free transfer.
Now Fiorentina got very good money for Vlahovic.
Fans are emotional creatures, Comisso made a good business decision. If the player have chosen Juve and reject all other offers, what can you do. Just get as much as money you can from the transfer or risk losing him for free. And they really did make good money from the transfer. If Juventus was conteding for the title the would never give so much money now. That doesn’t negate the validity of the banner.
Fiorentina, for the last couple of years, has almost literally existed to sell their best players to Juventus, it seems. It’s become ingrained in their DNA, it’s so obvious. So obvious their ‘worst enemy’ hangs a banner in their backyard, mocking them for it.
Good business or not, let’s see if Fiorentina are okay with that kind of perception.
I wouldn’t be, and judging from their ultras’ statement, they aren’t either.
That is only cause Don Beppe talked to the ultra leaders and calmed them. Explained everything will be OK and they trust him 100%.Fans are emotional creatures, Comisso made a good business decision. And the banner its just breaking their balls and fun. =)
Fiorentina fans will do nothing. The fans think they are a bigger club than they are. Its just a feeder club for bigger teams.
We can just go to ourselves, selling Hakimi and Lukaku after winning a scudetto.... You dont se any protest in the stadium to the chinese.
And some people still don't want him around because he was once at Juventus. That is only cause Don Beppe talked to the ultra leaders and calmed them. Explained everything will be OK and they trust him 100%.
First of all I agree with you, but I can get myself in his position and understand his decision. Well we sold Lukaku and Hakimi, where's the ambition?Commisso made maybe a good business decision. But at what cost? Where's the ambition? They basically competed with Juve for the 5th spot, maybe even CL if Vlahovic was carrying them there (unlikely for sure). Now they sold him, the league's leading scorer, to their arch rival AND their direct competitor in the current season.
Commisso has always bragged about his money so this is a truly mindboggling sale. He should have told Vlahovic's agent that the player doesn't play anymore unless he accepts EPL as a destination when the agent told Commisso that Vlahovic will move only to Juventus. Respond to blackmailing by blackmailing. Commisso should have had money for that. Vlahovic's contract is like 500k per season so it would have been interesting to see if Vlahovic was ready to waste one whole season just to get a free move to Juventus in 2023.
But no, as Commisso is a typical American mofo (sorry americans here, no offense) who talks and brags a lot but in the end doesn't give a shit about anything else than money.
More like 81 million to build Juve's next squad.€81m for him is really good money, now they can build their squad with that money and be even better.
Yes I understand this business decision.First of all I agree with you, but I can get myself in his position and understand his decision. Well we sold Lukaku and Hakimi, where's the ambition?
€81m for him is really good money, now they can build their squad with that money and be even better. Vlahovic was not staying either way.
I dont think themselves really believe they can compete with Juve this season.
Of course he will think money first he his a business man, and a self made billionare. He does not care about supporters preception about rivalry with Juventus. Even the players dont care about rivaliries these days.
I agree he talks alot of shit. But i kind of find him funny because in all that shit he sometimes says something good. He is a funny charachter.Yes I understand this business decision.
It's just that Commisso has talked a lot of shit, how he has the money, he plays with his own money and others don't play with their own money and yada yada. So he kind of brags how he is the man, he has created his own wealth. And then he's completely tone-deaf with the Italian environment by selling club's best player to arch rival, specially now as the teams are fighting for euro spots in the standings (which is not usually the case).
It was a good business decision for sure, almost excellent one as Juve and the agent could have blackmailed the man a lot after this window closes. He's still a fucking wanker.
Yeah Fiorentina fans are really stupid, all Comisso did was look after the interest of the club. The guy offered Vlahovic the biggest contract in the history of the club. How can you blame Commisso for any of this?
It has been obvious for a few months how the club has tried everything from renewals to selling him to England? It has been Vlahovic and his fucking agents who have been adamant on joining only Juve. In such a case, at lease Commisso made them pay the fair amount. And no ridiculous 2 year loan or shit.
I hated them for the Chiesa deal, but in this case, Fio did all they could.
