Hefty bonuses should always be included in contracts for older players

He may want a new experience. Not sure if Newcastle fascinate him tho. He still has it in him to play at a top club for at least 2 years. If he won't renew with us he might go to Atleti or a top English club.

He’s not going to Newcastle. Perisic is playing the best football of his career. That’s his credit but also to Inzaghi and his teammates. I doubt he’s in a hurry to jump ship unless a really good opportunity comes up (which at this rate is likely to happen). Just find some comprise and get it done.

there were a lot of rumors about his contract extension also being dragged out because he wants to make sure his team will be competitive to win!

I don't think Marotta has done well (at all) managing our current players' contracts. He should have extended de Vrij to make him more profitable to sell. He took too long to extend Brozovic, and is taking too long to extend Skriniar and Perisic.

I'm not sure how much of this is player's dragging their feet, or Suning not having money to finish deals, but Perisic has every right to call them out.

Maybe a budget friendly three-year deal can be found. If heaven forbid, the third year added is a mistake performance wise, Inter should be use to those type of situations by now. It's worth a try anyway.

tbh i dont think anyone expected him to perform at this level hence they signed Gosens.
I guess we will have a problem either way.

If we don't renew Ivan we will probably miss him ( assuming he will perform on the same level once he has the assurance of the last contract of his life)
If we renew him we will have a Gosens problem. I think he is being quite now because he was promised the starting spot next year. If that doesn't happen he won't accept to not be used

No, i don't.
He should have not said what he said about importante players getting extended asap by the clubs etc..
In first place, why he didn't have this kind of sublime year in 2019 season? why specifically when his contract ends? There is a little amount of players who you can trust and he is not one of those.
Can't have the same salary as Lautaro (who score tons of goals) and Brozovic (who is the machine of the team)

We already have Dimarco and Gosens, so overpay him is a big mistake.

It's clear Dimarco isn't viewed as a LWB by Inzaghi. He's a LCB. If we let Perisic leave we'll have to find a replacement, which means paying a transfer fee to acquire someone. Even on elevated wages Perisic is more financially savvy for us.
