To be honest I see him as Cordoba 2.0 which is not a bad thing obviously. Ivan also used to commit some noobish mistakes at the same age.

Didn't Córdoba cost us like 20 million euro 15+ years ago and was star in both Colombia & Argentina? Murillo had a great youth WC. Udinese bought him sent him to Granada in 2nd division. He did well they got promoted and played a great 1st season. Córdoba was already a beast when he came here on a big money transfer. Murillo is a prospect and a cheap gamble. By the time Córdoba came regardless of age he was already a proven player. Think he already the captain of Colombia at that point as well.

Other then them being Colombian I don't see them being alike at all or why people compare them. Murillo can make up for mistakes because he has some pace. Before he came here he never played for a big team. Córdoba played for the biggest in Colombia and then one of the big Argie teams San Lorenzo.

He was good against Juventus but not that good against Empoli. He should've dealt better with Maccarone when he got that yellow card, but he also had a blunder when he headed the ball towards an Empoli player who luckily scuffed it.

You're the last person in the world I expected to disagree on this.

Maybe they way Cordoba and Murillo came here was different, but I do remember Cordoba doing alot terrible of mistakes in his early years and that's the point. The least of what I remember is that own goal against Feynoord which has practically knocked Inter out of UEFA cup. I think Murillo can improve with more high-level experience just like Cordoba.

He is a clumsy player. A very average player and good bench material

It's common sense really. Anyone who has ever played as a defender in his life knows that if your partner in defense is a piece junk then you'll most likely be a piece of junk too.

It also depends on the players around you not only the other defender, specially when you have someone like Melo in front of you.

Meh nothing new! We already knew that murillo is not ready yet to lead our defense. He has shown that he struggles way more when not partnered with miranda which is perfectly normal imho.
That does not make him a bad player, i just hope that by the time miranda starts declining Murillo has learned how to lead a defense or that we get him a partner who knows how to lead a dfense.

The important question here is whether Murillo really partners well with Miranda, or Miranda just masks and cleans up after most of Murillo's positioning errors.

Surely we can't compare a young defender with an experienced veteran like Miranda.

Murillo has definitely shown in many, many games some really good quality football when partnered with stable players. On the other hand, you have players like Ranocchia who will still fuck up everything even if you play them next to Zanetti and Baresi. Here's when you can tell whether this defender has potential and may improve or not.

That's bullshit. Stop making excuses for him. Even when's he's shite you people still find ways to blame it on Melo, Rano etc. Again, what a load of bull!

you know, theres a good point there, but at the same time, a lot of his fuck ups werent anything to do with ranocchia. He wasd crying to be sent off yesterday, and a lot of it was jusst wank decision making 1-1.

I've already said that he's had a terrible game in the match's thread. However, you're judging him as player based on one game. I'm talking about Murillo's general ability from all games. Are you honestly implying that since they joined Inter until today, all of Murillo, Melo and Ranocchia are of the same quality?

Again, Murillo has shown classy performances in many other games. In which games exactly have Ranocchia and Melo played on a similar level?

He definitely has his share of idiotic moments. However, and opposed to what I think surripere is implying, it still doesn't make him a complete piece of junk like Ranocchia (as a player in general).

Miranda is gold. Mario is gold.
without these two on the pitch, what kind of football, are you guys really expect to see?

I have already regret watching it yesterday.

It happends with shiva, it will happen yesterday as well. as expected.
This is the depth we currently have...
