13m is ridiculous. He's improved the team and is doing a wonderful job, but realistically we're not guarenteed any silverware this season yet. He makes much, much more than any manager in the world as it is and (with the exception of us winning the CL) I don't see why he deserves a raise.

If this all goes through though, they should include a cause stating that if he gets Gerrard and doesn't make the CL final, he has to pay his salary back.

If we increase the pay, then there should also be a good compensation for Inter if he leaves before the contract ends.

Too much money, but Moratti will seek assurances about him staying...

Heard from the EPL punters from ESPN Asia (Hence, reliability is questionable) that this guy earns more than Wenger, Ferguson, Benitez & Ancelotti combined.

Surely that's not true?

Well, we can argue about the ridiculous current salary, but no one can argue that the pay raise to THAT would be justified.

Depends. If he gets us to the cl semi's I would say he deserves it.

No other manager has his media presence and as our ceo already said last season mou does help to attract sponsors.

Combined no but Only manager that competes is capello.

Ancelotti - €6
Wenger - €4.8
Benitez - €2.8

What is your argument in that? That exactly CL semis justifies him to earn that money? Winning the whole shit would make it, but nothing more (well, maybe CL final since that's a one game so there's even less for coach to do than in other stages).

I think the media attention, sponsors and all that shit alone make him worth that contract, there is not a better media phenomenon than Mou, and Inter have got a much bigger audience and coverage thanks to Mou, i can assure that about my country at least.
Then there is the team identity, he has really given Inter an identity and spirit we have been lacking since last decade, he really is building something here. And not many coaches have the strength and knowledge to do that with such a star filled team, especially one that has been winning the league at ease for years.

I think you forgot someone :p

Scolari gets €16.6m a year! He makes his Uzbek coaching debut in 10 days!

He gets to hook up with Rivaldo who earns €10.2 million a year LOL

Rivaldo has already scored 33 goals with Bunyodkor and he turns 38 in April!

i agree. here in my country we have much more inter fans since mourinho came to inter. almost every day you see him in sport newspaper, and/or on tv. before he came to us nobody was writing or talking about inter-except when we lost with valencia in CL and our players got into a fight or that we could win the scudetto just becouse of calciopoli. now everybody is talking about mourinho and inter, and inter is much more popular than before him.

Three years ago, the ratio between the fans of inter and ac milan was 1-25, and now it is at least equal

just for that reason i think he deserves every single euro he gets

I agree Mou has made people want to watch us. And I hate that feeling of when I tell people I'm an Inter fan, they go like "Are you serious!? I've never met anyone who supports them." But ever since he joined us, they go like "Oh! Mourinho's team!".

I know it sounds kind of shallow, but this is actually the first step towards becoming an Inter fan. Like how I became one when Baggio and Vieri joined :smileani:. So I really love that that's happened and even though one's salary is based on the silverware in my book. I'm think I'm willing to let that slide with Mou :)
