The ":)" part was to help people know I wasn't talking serious.

Just like we know there was some true about "giocatore biondo" in the summer, but we still don't want to believe that :)

Anyways, Baptista not coming here (especialy if it was sale) is a good news for me. Ledesma should offer us more, and seems that he will be a lot cheaper option.

But I think the priority for us is/should be Kolarov. Santon, although showing some nice glimpses of hopes, still needs a player who he can compete with, and after Baptista story, I'm pretty sure nobody wants a deadwood like Baptista to come here and "compete" with Santon.

Also Kolarov ain't Maicon, so if Davide will put his shit together, can easily win a place in the first team.

Kolarov should be priority for me, because our latest games showed me the 4-2-3-1 has vare little chance to work for us this season, and since we will probably soon enough go back to 4-4-2 rombo, we need desperatly a left back who can do the same (or at least close to that) as what Maicon is doing on the right. We need a left option, if Maicon is covered on the right. It is impossible to cover the whole width of the field, and with Kolarov/Santon (Davide in good form) bombing down the left should help us counter the other teams who focus on Maicon and shut him down.

I think Jose sees Kolarov as a priority over the midfielder, and if Lolito wasn't such a prick I reckon he would be already here. I hope we somehow soft up Lolito over next 12 days.

Did any of the Baptista supporters watch his game? I know Nyall didn't, he said so.

I was never a supporter of the move. I just feel it is not right to call it a bad move or call our manager/management idiots before he even puts ink on a contract. I have said it many times before about players and matches...no one here is a psychic, so you never know how he will do until he steps on the pitch. I bet there were more people supporting the Quaresma transfer than the Sneijder one, and look how than panned out...

I missed the Roma game, but by your tone, I am guessing he had a bad game...

take it easy vitomins ... u can't compare Sneider to Baptista... Sneijder was way younger, and then everybody were aware of his abilities, only his injury-prone story was the only thing to worry about..
1st thing, Baptista is a Roma's player... does it remind u of something?? HELLOOO Mancini! .. at least Mancini was a heart breaker that time, not like Baptista where a lot of ppl are now aware of him and the possible outcome of this purchase!
2nd thing, last time he impressed was when he played some couple of games as a regular (a loooooong time ago) ... and as he'll never be a starter in Inter, so he'll never be useful for us, specially when we're getting him to replace Sneider "the playmaker" .. and Baptista ain't no playmaker ... he only can score goals (once every long while).. i can't deny i loved his days with Arsenal.. but that's past for now...

Omar, Vito never compared Sneijder to Baptista GOD FORBID, he compared how more people were more enthusiastic about QUARESMA than Sneijder, me included. And now? Boy did that change our feelings, like COMPLETELY.

i dont think we're comparing the players.. we are comparing the transfers policy over the 2 stories and the conditions surrounding the 2 players ...

Burdisso thread. You said you don't watch roma games despite them having Burdisso.

I think we should all realize that until the transfer window closes, there is still the possibility that the deal will go through. Look how many times the deal was 'off' with Sneijder.

I reeeealy hope the reports about the deal crashing are true. It's better for us not to get anyone else than to spend money on the beast when we aren't in that much of a need of his services. Good news!

Wow, you managed to completely miss my entire point. How you possibly got a comparison of Sneijder and Baptista out of my post is really beyond me. Please try to read my post again, because it is a good one and you really should not miss the meaning of it.

I was simply comparing people's attitudes during transfers, I never once compared the players...

on fifa manager quaresma or mancini would go to livorno but they wouldnt in real life

think of some spares we dont need like rivas to take the cost down [well in rivas es case it would be 1 euro 30 cents]
