Baggio, Recoba,
I don't think Baptista is a good choice even if it is a swap deal with Suazo.

Thing is everyone is taking advantage of our desperation to sign an attacking midfielder for his own benefit just like this guy and his agent.

First we were under the impression that if by any chance he was going to join us it would've been done on loan since we were after Diego Armando Sneijder, but now since El Neuvo Pibe is reluctant to join those guys are putting their own terms!! :wallbang::wallbang::wallbang::wallbang::wallbang:

I dunno Baptista isn't all that bad compared to Suazo, I really don't mind him that much coming he could be useful to a certain extent. This does not mean that I'm happy with him, I'm more indifferent to this situation.

I'm not saying that Suazo is better than him, on the contrary at least the guy can participate in build-up play. :D

My concern is the terms of the deal because what I understand now is that he wants to join on permanent basis. Knowing Inter's management, I know he'll sign a long term contract and will be overpaid.

That's why I would prefer that he comes on loan and not on permanent basis. If he does well then fine we sign him and give him what he deserves.

past 2 years Roma have been cashing in from us on failed rejects big time. Let's just make an annual donation to them for a couple of millions so we don't get their dead weight anymore :wallbang:

IF we get him (and I hope we don't), he can't be seriously considered as our trequartista, can he?

Apparently this would be a very cheap deal, as he wants out of Roma. If he's meant to be the vice-Milito, fair enough. If he's the alternative to Sneijder... ouch.

Permanent move would absolutely idiotic transfer. We don't need Baptista to any role really. We have Balotelli and Arnautovic for backup strikers in long-term. In short-term Baptista might be useful, that's why there's nothing wrong with the loan.
