I do feel Baptista is a better 4th striker than Suazo. Plus he can also drop deep and play in midfield. But -
1. He can not be the AM we have been lacking.
2. His arrival shud not block Cassano's as I dont see any conflict in their roles within our squad

Will you guys relax lol Baptista is not as shit as everyone makes it out to seem hes a physical monster strong like the likes of Adri and Zlatan without the technique is all lol. Jose will use him as a power sub off the bench to run down and press opponents and change formations and tactical options. We are trying to play the possesion ball at the feet spanish style of football now and play as a team rather the tactical long ball catenaccio the italian league the best defensive league in the world plays relax.

Baptista is not a bad player, but reports of him being the replacement for Sneijder make it a badly timed transfer, whether or not he IS a replacement for Sneijder. If he comes, he will most likely be a sub. However, if he is supposed to be our trequartista...oh boy.

10 years of FIFI think tactically he gives us more options, not a starting 11 but something off the bench. Is different to Eto'o/Milito. Can also give us direct play and can play in midfield. hes really not a bad player, and Jose could probably get the best outta him, look what he turned Drogba into for example. However he shouldnt be our trequartista. Why oh why didnt we pay the money for Deco. Im not even convinced about Sneijder, he just doesn't have the creative passing ability for me.

Don't necessarily oppose this transfer. But if this is our answer to Sneijder, we're screwed. However, I think Baptista comes because Suazo will leave. We've seen Suazo and he doesn't contribute a whole lot, Baptista resembles Drogba a bit and Drogba was fundamental for Jose's Chelsea.
Replacing Baptista with Suazo and getting Sneijder, I believe he will come in the end, is good.

I believe Sneijder will come in the end. He is being treated like air at Real Madrid, he will come to his senses. But I refuse to believe Baptista is the vice-Sneijder.

hes not our trequartista no we will still get Sneijder I doubt before before ther derby he arrives but if he does i still think he wont be starting don't worry Baptista is a physical aspect of attackers we no longer have without Zlatan or Adriano Balotelli is the strongest attacker in this squad which is why combined with his technique hes miles ahead of the next "ronaldo" Pato and could be the greateast in 3-4 years time give him till his early mid 20's
