Albanians live in Kosovo and Albania. Kosovo got it independence in 2008 and until now wasn't accepted in UEFA & FIFA. So players from Kosovo played for Albania and other countries cause of that.Happy for you guys It must have meant a lot. Pardon my ignorance though, but how is this different from the Albanian NT?
Just a kind reminder that please no politics discussion here. Thanks.
Is it the same case with Macedonia? I'm asking cause I have two friends who are from a city called gostivar in Macedonia, but they don't seem to bother whether they're addressed as Macedonian or Albanian.
Wait, so you can re-select the NT you wish to represent?
None of that Diego Costa never represented Brazil in an official FIFA match level, that kind of rules/restrictions?
This is a different situation. Januzaj for example picked Belgium because at that time Kosovo wasn't accepted in FIFA & UEFA. It's similar to when Yugoslavian players were able to switch their national teams.Wait, so you can re-select the NT you wish to represent?

Also some players have already done the switch, for e.g. Rashica who had only played friendlies for Albania. For anyone that doesn't know, Rashica is considered a big talent and Napoli has looked into buying him in the last 2 transfer windows.
Our first official match is on 5th of September vs Finland for World Cup qualifiers.
Thanks.I have an employee/friend, he's from south Serbia ( Lugina ) he's Albanian though, and he tells me a lot about Rashica, he's really good I saw some highlights.
Also, who else from Albanian NT gonna make the switch? My friend told me , Xhaka, Gashi and some other ones will switch too.
Good luck with your qualifiers.
