Funny (or sad) how we always manage to destroy a season in one moment. The racism story, Nainngolan audio, Icardi and Wanda, Perisic-Marotta, the perfomance of our team in this last games/Coppa Italia lose, Icardi statement, curva nord against Buu....

When it rains it pours.

Inter handed another racism ban
By Football Italia staff

Inter have been handed a suspended stand closure after their fans were found guilty of racially abusing Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.

The FIGC’s sporting judiciary heard supporters from the Curva Nord ‘chant racist expressions’ towards Kessie in the seventh and 39th minute of Sunday’s Derby della Madonnina at San Siro.

Consequently, the Nerazzurri risk one match with the stand closed, although the punishment will only take effect if their fans commit another instance of racist abuse.

Inter were forced to play two games behind closed doors earlier in the year after their supporters discriminated against Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly on Boxing Day.

Elsewhere, Coach Luciano Spalletti has been given only a warning after he was sent to the stands during his side’s 3-2 win, while Milan have been fined €10,000 after one of their fans threw a potentially-dangerous object onto the pitch.

wishing someone to die (that at the end really died) is ok, but for racism of course you get a stadium ban.

How the fuck is Inter responsible for the fans when we are not even the home side (and thus not arranging the event) ?!

Like what the fuck?! It's fucking absurd.

of course, we can't condone racism. but i agree with El Duccio: it's ridiculous you can get away with wishing the death to a guy who's just had a stroke.

I think thats normal no? it s always the cub whose fans do some shit that get punished. The weird thing is that it will result in a ban at home if they do some shit again. Usually when your fans do shit in away games they also get banned in away game or at least thats how i remember it happening most of the time.

Anyway like i said before this is not a inter problem it s an italian problem they still look at racism atleast verbal racism as something not so bad. Like this sounds stupid but i have quite some italian friends who i would not call racist in any shape or form but when they watch football the n word and zingaro are used very frequently and very lightly soo.. Plus a good amount of them are roma fans and hae season tickets in their curva which politically should be rather left.

Anyways i dont think you can ever prevent idiots in large groups doing stupid stuff. The thing that really confuses me is how the fuck did these guys chose inter?
Dont they know what we stand for and why we were founded in the first place?

EDIT: btw not that any of this makes it ok to do such things!!

Its stupid that club gets punished for this again, they just do it for the sake of it,if they really cared about racism they would identify those people and banned them indefinitely like they do in england, not this we are all guilty moral superiority bullshit.

A lot of whataboutism here.

I'd ban those idiots from any stadium in Italy.

Inter - Napoli: 1 - 0
Milan - Inter: 2 - 3

Do you see the pattern?

How in the hell are these piles of excrement even allowed in the stadium. They should be easy to spot: mouth breathing morons, goose stepping with vacant eyes. Hopefully the new owners should be smart and buy up all those seats for next year and give them out to underprivileged kids and their parents.

"Brothers of the world" is rather ironic coming from Inter whose squad is allegedly divided into factions based on player nationalities.

Probably because their friends are Milan fans so they choose Inter to have something to argue about :D.

I know it's maybe not that relevant, but let me share how the situation with the ultras is here, in Bulgaria. Usually if the ultras do some things that lead to sanctions for the club and hurt the reputation the club, it means they are blackmailing the club. So, when a new owner comes, one of the first issues is to deal with these fans so there will not be any problems or at least not that much. By deal, I mean the ultras to get some benefits.

By the way, I have read that in the recent years Juventus have had a lot of problems with their ultras and in the end Agnelli let the ultras to sell the tickets in their Curva.

Blackmailing the club, basically. Great "fans".

I'm not gonna pretend to know everything about the dynamics of a football stadium and the crowd that goes in it, but I just want to highlight this example in the NBA where the NBA identified and permanently banned 2 fans from attending another game.

Tottenham also has also done the same

Yes, I believe stadium bans is a harsh punishment for a club, who can't possibly control the action of every single individuals who go to its matches. But on the other hand, I don't believe that we have done enough to truly exorcise racism out of our matches.

I read somewhere else that it's a bit tricky in Italy because the stadiums are not technically owned by the club, that they belong to the public and you can't restrict public areas or something. But there has to be something that can be done. Like maybe banning them from Inter-affiliated fan clubs, or from season tickets. Something, anything.

You have to have the ticket in your name and present identification to match the ticket when entering. Surely we can stop them quite easily from buying tickets or if they do buy tickets from entering the stadium

I have given up on this. If the problem isn't solved, it can only mean to me that nobody wants to solve it: neither the clubs (I guess because they wouldn't want to engage in a sort of war with the supporters), nor the authorities

In Italy the real stadium bans are handled this way: If you have a ban, you need to be register yourself (physically) to official (municipal or whatever) when there is a match going on, so that it can be verified you are not in the match. Dunno how that works throughout the country, but I believe at least for one team's matches it works just fine. If you are not present, you are going to get punished (dunno about punishments but this is the logic).
