The real problem is that Cambiasso doesnt have the qualities to work properly as a two-way midfielder at the highest level. When he tempo is high and there is alot of pressure on the ballholder he always chokes, he isnt quick enough or good enough technicaly to be a factor going forward here. We see this case in every away game in europe and for the argie national team as well, its the same reason most argie fans wants cambiasso off the team really. He can do well in serie a because the tempo is low and there is a very little pressure on the ball holder before the midfield line.

The only thing he contributes with in these high tempo/pressure game is hs defensive aspects, but sadly those arent on par with that of a real destroyer.

I know alot of people like cambiasso, but this is really the truth.

Wtf are you talking about?

Have you watched him play at all with Argentina where the passing tempo is 50 times faster than with Inter? There is a reason he's always a guaranteed starter with them.

Cambiasso can play in any midfield in any league.

"This is really the truth" is quite stupid to say as it is just your opinion. Cambiasso isn't that bad you're stating. You are right about that he needs some time to get the ball control and pass it. But you are forgetting one thing. His runs from the back are very, very good. Cambiasso is the only one at Inter who does those with the frequency he does. His timing with those runs are good, though his shot isn't too precise. But he's also almost every time the first one lurking for the second ball after free kicks and long shots if goalie gives one. We haven't seen this kind of things at Inter before Cambiasso a long time.

To be honest i agree with azzkikr on cambiasso...yes alot of people like him including me but that doesnt mean anything. He is totally useless in our midfield...he is a genuine 2 way midfielder...and for him to work well he has to have another 2 way midfielder with him.

These runs you talk about never result in anything, you are saying that he is effective in something that in the end is ineffective...cambiasso has one of the worst shoots ever...sometimes they click with him in some matches but most of the times they are way of target. When there is pressure on the midfield he keeps running doing nothing, and when he gets the ball he either looses it or misspasses...and with argentina he is not a starter. If you noticed in the WC he played a few matches until lucho was fit then lucho started the next matches...and even if he starts nowadays then you can begin to know why argentina also dont win anything...they also play with zanetti-cambiasso-mascherano in midfield which is as defensive as our midfield.

He is effective, he use to score 6-10 goals season like De Rossi / Essien and that kind of players.

Whats your idea guys? sell Cambiasso, the best transfer Inter made in the last years LOL... i agree with bench Stankovic or Vieira, but Cambiasso? mr consistent? come on.

Was the time when Cambiasso pushed out from the first team Davids and Cristiano Zanetti just a dream?

I mean I still remember those times, where Cambiasso was our first choice deffensive midfielder, and recently I am being convinced he is no deffensive midfielder. So what is it. That was just a dream ?

This is why its going to be so hard to get Frank, because Deki, Vieira and Cambiasso pretty much all occupy the same positions.

Cambiasso isnt being wasted at DM, because his still doing well. But we could get 2-fold out of him playing as a CM on the left, being allowed to go forward and such, linking up with maxwell.

If Jose comes, you will see an unbeliavable midfield, one that will give Stan, Cuchu and Zanetti the credit among being the worlds best.

No Milan player
i think Cambiasso will happily play as Defensive midifelder if asked to. However, to utilize his full talent, its best to play him as a central midfielder - with a chance to bomb forward when needed.

i say we clean house with all the older players (31+) except Zanetti, Cordoba,Cruz and Matrix... players who have been here for a long time but should expect to see alot more bench time next season but want to and should retire at inter....

Viera,Solari, Figo(yes guys but he is like 37 and doesnt play, I realize he was like C ronaldo 10 years ago... but I was also 7 back then), Crespo, Cesar.... etc who over 32 and dont play and have huge salary please leave

Even if you do get Lampard, your midfield could look something like this:
-----------------Lampard/Deki-----------
----------------Viera/Cambiasso---------

Either one or two of em in that position.

Recalti says MRS Lampard was spotted in milan.

Lampard con Mourinho!

28 Maggio 2008

Ora i tifosi voltano pagina.

I don't understand this transfer. What exactly are we going to do with Lampard? we already have enough players in his position.

This definitely means that someone is leaving. It can't be Dacourt because he's already a back up. Vieira confirmed many times that Inter is his last club. Cambiasso and Zanetti won't leave for obvious reasons.

There's only Stankovic..

Inter needs to get rid of the last 2 and buy 2 new ones to be starters.

Lampard seems better at his position than others.

I don't think we will be dissapointed with Lampard. He is a player that we don't have. He is like Stankovic, only a lot better, so this is certainly an uprgade.

Anyways Jose has to bring someone, we know that, so it's better him, than lets say Makelele, or someone we really don't nead.

I won't mind Lampard, but as it's been said for 1 gazillionth time, our priority should be signing an AM.

Though God knows what system will Mou use with us, actually.

Lampard is more of a "CL" player than the players we have. He is a very good player that will improve our midfield.

I think there will be some exits of players we like with Mourinho, but this is life. Inter before anything.

We bought him last month for 10m.

Why not satisfied with getting Franky?? An upgrade over any Midfielder of ours.

I would mind clearing up the midfield for Lampard by getting rid of Viera and/or Figo (after this year).

Figo and Vieira are definitely gone after this season (Patrick maybe 2, depending where he wants to be when he retires)
