They were about to give that salary to Lukaka with GHD only.
Nobody denies how good Lautaro is now but making exceptions will increase the demands of other players as well.
This will be the best season of Lautaro so far and if he does not reduce his demands, the management shall considering selling him for some crazy money. This will reduce our attacking strength, no doubt about it, but will allow to club to take a breath for next 2-3 seasons as well.
It's the whole thing that is messed up. We get expensive strikers all the time, at the cost of having to offload them for cheap/pay them to leave. We took Lukaku on loan for one year spending a ton, signed Correa for a ton of money too, took back Alexis, just spent a lot on Arnautovic... Even in other positions. How much do we pay Cuadrado? Like 3M net ? We're litterally throwing money through the window and now we're talking about not breaking the structure of the club's wages by not giving Lautaro what he wants and deserves?
The structure is already broken, in attack in the last season and a half, we've had Correa, Sanchez, Lukaku and Arnautovic in the squad basically contributing nothing. The one player that has been doing the job is Lautaro with the help of Dzeko and Marcus, 10M is not too much. With the way things have been going I'd even say don't get a fourth striker. Bring back one of the youngsters, let's play with Lautaro, Thuram, Taremi and a young player if that helps us give Lautaro what he wants.

Losing him would have the entire Serie A celebrating.
Who do you want to see next to Lautaro next game? I feel Thuram will be on the bench, so he can be refreshed for Atletico.
Tbh I think Lautaro looked more tired in the last two games, didn't he?

Both Lautaro and Thuram should get some rest vs Salernitana. Lautaro did look pretty tired the last 2 games.

Roma is actually the team against which he has the worst scoring record in the league. 12 games 1 goal in his career - he's generally struggled to score in this fixture. He's never scored against Genoa but played a lot less against them (even missed the game this season).

I can't see a player with Lautaro's hunger going to play for PSG. You have the chance to be the captain at Inter, play Champions League football and in a challenging league, you wouldn't choose the drama of that club and playing Bastia or Le Havre every week-end over that.

It depends how keen is Lautaro on those 10mln salary. Maybe we can squeeze around 150mln from PSG if he wants more money.

I think ~120m would be a reasonable price for him and we won't need to sell any one else.
I don't think so any club gonna offer us more than that.

Seems Psg likely go after Osimen.
It hurts a shit club like psg can spend millions on whoever they desire without worrying about anything while a big club like Inter have to sell a couple of their players every season

Funny I remember we used to be like that, and I was very happy about it, got happy and excited every summer, and disappointed every season.

I went and check back the numbers, it was not as crazy as I thought, felt like we spent a lot, but the numbers don't look too bad, then how are we in such great financial problem pre Thohir years? Now I am confused as fuck.

Dude is basically averaging a goal per game, is our captain, and people here are entertaining hypothetical offers for him. My god.

Offers for him of 50m no one is taking about but 100m+ someone even said 150

At that point with our financial situation we would have to sell

Stupid not to. Twice as expensive as Haaland

Would it be pretty hard, close to impossible to replace him sure. But not being bankrupt is nice.

Everyone like why don’t we give all players 20% raises. Look at our debt and fact our owners are fkd

We just want to be prepared when the harsh reality hit us in the belly.
I saw that the source is Gazette. They claim that Lautaro refused 8 mln, and insists on 10+bonuses. For now, PSG, Man U and Real are monitoring the situation, according to them.

Don't compare Lautaro with Icardi or Skriniar
Icardi's problem wasn't that he was a mercenary, it really was that Wanda was his agent and also his ego was too big. If she talks shit about his teammates and Icardi doesn't stop her, obviously that will start problems in the squad.

What Inter showed is that we can always find a replacement for a striker. Be it Adriano, Ibra, Milito, Icardi or Lukaku. Wanda&Icardi probably thought we needed them...

Yep, they simply didn't want to do business with Wanda and all the extra shit which came with that while Icardi is the captain at the same time.

They pull the plug and that was the right move eventually (even though I remember being pissed about it how they handled it).

Lautaro wants to stay here, they just need to find the correct, financial agreement between the two (agent and the club).

Everyone wants to stay here until they don't.

Get real guys. Even our boy Dimarco can join Real Madrid tomorrow and I'll be fine with it. It's just the way they choose to do it.

Nothing surprises us anymore.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lautaro leaves one day, I can't say that I would; but my jaw would hit the floor if he chooses the farmer's french league 😅

I'd be more understanding if he went to Saudi, since PSG would only make sense for money, and since money is the factor, why not go all in and play in Saudi Arabia.

We will have to go through this generation of players changing teams I believe, until it becomes the new black/the new cool to stay in one club again.

It doesn't take much for it to happen, just a generational talent preaching about loyalty to his club, and the herd will follow.

Not everyone is after the money as the main priority. Agents are, of course, but if the player has the real power and knows what he really wants, they decide.

Lautaro wants to stay, agent is given this assignment so then he needs to squeeze as much money as possible with the assignment in mind.

I don't think that Lautaro is attached to Inter same way as someone like Barella is.
He is good here, already captain and an important figure, but if we win the scudetto and he became a top goalscorer, I can understand him if he looks to another challenge. Especially if Real are involved. He might be flattered to be a Mbappe replacement and the protagonist at PSG as well. No body knows what is going on in his head.
