After these years with selling players for plusvalenza, I just became relaxed.

If a offer of 100+m comes and Lautaro is ok with this, I don`t have a problem. Even if the club decide, they don`t want to comit 10m salary and belive they can make a better team with the selling of Lautaro, I don`t have a problem either. We always had great strikers (Ronaldo, Vieri, Ibra, Milito, Icardi, Lautaro) and I am confident that the next one will come.

It will be a shame, because we developed him. I remember him coming here in the Spaletti tenure, how raw he was and how year after year he becomes better. And I don`t think this is the maximum Lautaro. Maybe not as a scorer but in playmaking. Exactly like Milito.

I can't guarantee it, but I am close to certain Inter won't invest the money they get for Lautaro based on how they operated in the last few years.

So Lautaro surpassed Icardi on the goalscoring list.

Now he is 18 goals away from Benito Lorenzi (who has the same Goals per match as Lautaro, 0.46)

Mazzola is in fourth place with 162, so I reckon he will reach him next season if he continues like this.

So we can already confirm that Lautaro is an Inter legend.

Just so you guys can see his progress since he came to Inter
18/19
35 games, 9 goals, 2 assists

19/20
49 games, 21 goals, 8 assists, Inter reached the Europa League final

20/21
48 games, 19 goals, 11 assists, Inter wins Serie A and Argentina wins Copa America

21/22
49 games, 25 goals, 4 assists

22/23
57 games, 28 goals, 11 assists, Inter reaches the CL final, Argentina wins the World Cup

23/24
31 games, 23 goals, 5 assists

This is the first real season where he is considered the main striker and he is delivering in his own style. I won't say he is the best or most clutch striker we ever had, but it's amazing that Inter, of all fucking clubs, found a younger, non-Italian striker and put him in the frying pan.

LET HIM COOK!!

I agree with you. But the question is, did it really matter?
Let`s assume, we sell Lautaro for 100+m and bring Zirkzee for 40+m. We could also sell Dumfries for something like 20+m (don`t forget the shit of a champion is more perfumed than of a pleb). And have enough money to find a proper replacement for RWB (something we don't have since Hakimi left). At he end of the day we could have Zirkzee, a proper RWB (hopefully) and an adequate plusvalenza.

I don`t want to be misunderstood. I would love to have an adequate owner not our fucker. Not even a sugar daddy, but someone potent enough to keep our representative players (Lautaro, Barella, Bastoni) and not even anually, but every 2 years to be able to buy someone good (like Pavard). In an ideal world we should be able to keep Lautaro and buy Zirkzee not bring an old fart like Taremi. Lautaro, Zirkzee and Thuram would a hell of a frontcourt.
But unfortunately the reality is all that matter. And we are more or less broke. And even if we lost a lot of good players (Hakimi, Lukaku, Perisic, Brozo, Skriniar) we find adequate replacement except Hakimi. With Hakimi instead of Dumfries we would be sensibly better but for others, they won`t move the needle in our current team.

In that case I'm more prepared to sell Thuram and buy Zirkzee, if we would have at least 40mil plusvalenza. If not, not worth it
How much you will get for Thuram? Between 50-60mln at most. Zirgzee will cost us at least 40mln. Is it worth the trade?

If Money is become the problem for Lautaro, he can go, no hard feeling. But don't list his name as a legend, a real legend didn't talk about money.

Inter played Lautaro consistently even he's in bad form (cz we don't have other option), that helped him a lot on his number of goals & assist. In this case, i think Icardi is better, Icardi had Medel Melo Guarin on his ass, while Lauti had Hakan Barella Miki.
Remember we developed Icardi until we had him as our Captain, scores a lot, going trough our worst era, playing alongside averages, and then he goes cz we can't pay him more. Who cares about him now?
For now, Lautaro is a good player here at Inter, i don't think PSG or Real will come with 100+ ml, they had enough with Icardi.

In that case, not worth the trade. I would only get rid of Thuram if the money was too huge to ignore and we could easily pay off what we owe for Pavard, pay for Zirkzee and maybe another CB?

No need to do comparisons and also no need to discount a player's status at Inter.

I mean ok I wouldn't call Thiago Motta an Inter legend, but he deserves more than an honorable mention for his time here even if he left us for more money. Then you add Eto'o who was shipped away due to his huge salary or Sneijder who wouldn't renew with less money. Do you think less of them because they left?

Motta and co is a different story, they gave us the Trible, and they were pushed to leave cz we're bankrupt.
Icardi is a drama queen.
Lautaro is our captain right now when we're in pursuit for Scudetto. He needs to focus playing football and bring the 20 scudetto home, after that i don't mind if he is asking for 10ml or leave for more money, and i'll still love him. I'm concerned about this contract extension talk could possibly bring negatif impact to our scudetto run. You break a goal record today and then you demand more money, wtf. Thats not a captain material.
We developed him for 5 years, at least give some credit for the club before talking about 10ml salary, thats my point.

Whenever i see that list, i am just reminded how underrated Vieri has been.

In absolute numbers he barely makes it to top 10 but when you check his goal per game ratio, which is a more accurate metric imo, he's only behind Cevenini, Nyers and Meazza.

Nonsense, the management wanted to renew his contract, thus the conversation. If Lautaro had said let's wait until the end of the season until we negotiate, you people would probably cry about how he's not captain material either hanging the management dry. Fucking Vlahovic gets paid 9m+bonus ffs, I wouldn't mind Lautaro giving that ~10m as he's shown over the years that he's always improving.

Stop being naive, just because he's our captain and legend doesn't mean he should bend over.

You know inter finances more than management? If they give him the extension, that means they can afford it. It wasn't even a year ago when they almost give 10m to that fraud.

Regarding your last sentence, yes, that's how it works when it comes to your best player.

"they know better than you" is a terrible spreading trend of arguments. Ofc nobody here knows more than the management. Doesn't mean whatever they decide should be right.
That's the point of opening a forum after all.

How so? He claimed that we can't afford it as if we know exactly what our budget is like. Saying it's not worth it is one thing as its subjective and open for discussion, exactly what a forum is for, but saying that we can't afford it without actual facts is another.

We are all discussing on non-facts. Lautaro requesting 10m+ is exactly the reason why the signing is delayed. No Inter management is agreeing on that yet.

So either "he deserves 10m" based on Lukaku hypothetical salary or "we cannot afford" based on Inter future loan interests rumours are your and his personal opinions.

No, my personal opinion is he deserves it because he's the best player in Serie A right now and he's improving every year. I threw Lukaku's hypothetical salary to show that the management was ready to splash 10m on a 4 year contract on Lukaku about half a year ago.

DO: Drop the expensive fourth striker, bring in a young hungry cheap striker, pay Lautaro whatever he wants, go into the next season with Lautaro, Thuram, Taremi + young striker

DON'T: Get a 30+ fourth striker on high wages or keep Correa/Alexis/Assnautovic, let Lautaro go because he "asks too much" and gamble on a Zirkzee or a David or Idk who to fill his shoes (in Europe no one can), go into the next season with striker gamble, Thuram, Taremi + one of the three useless *ssholes.

The facts are that we are selling almost every season some key player, because we have to do it. The management also mentioned that we shall reduce the salaries.
I haven't seen that our finances are significantly improved lately, so it's quite normal one to assume that giving 10 mln to Lautaro will have an impact on our budget, and will lead to some other sacrifices.
The other issue with giving him 10 mln is that the rest of the starters will start asking for the same (or close) salaries as well.

That is not true. The last rumors about Lukaku were, that he will reduce his salary between 6.5-7.5mln, which with GHD applied would have been less than 12 mln gross per season. Lautaro's will be 20mln gross.
