not so brainless when its true
just admit that deki doesnt have the playmaker gene in him
you havent given me anything to prove otherwise
I have to disagree. The past year or so Dejan has been the better playmaker. Figo had slighly more assists then Dejan but almost all of Figo's assists were from crosses, while most of Deki's were from through balls.
Think about it, when was the last time you saw Figo set someone up with a through ball? I remember it because I was amazed it happened. It was against Napoli and he set up Cruz. Deki also set up Cruz against Napoli but it didn't amaze me because he does it all the time.
Now you could easily argue that the reason for that is because Figo has been played on the wing, and therefore naturally is more likely to set someone up with a cross instead of a through ball. And Deki has had the position just behind the strikers so he is more likely to set somone up with through balls.
But the thing is almost everytime I've seen Figo play behind the strikers he has been poor and has failed to deliver balls to our strikers. But even when Deki is played in the CM position like against Napoli he still sets up players..
And Deki has so much more pace then Figo. You have to admit Figo is very very slow these days. Many times when we are on the counter it's like he's trying to relive his past glory days by pushing forward with the ball so he can deliver the pass at just the right moment. But he's too slow so players catch up to him and disposses him. And this happens all the time dude.
That tells me Figo is too old to be playing as a playmaker for us and Deki is clearly the better option. I agree though that todays Deki is nowhere near a 27 year old Figo when it comes to playmaking.
