This is definitely a coach's work. Spalletti has utilized Brozovic's charactaristics into a certain role. We've always knew that Brozovic is ridiculously talented but underperformed because of bad coaches (and frequently changing them) and his own strange mentality. Hopefully Spalletti's the one to take the best out of him.

Obviously this hasn't happened in one day. It took 10 months for Spalletti to understand his players and what the team needs. This is also a good reason why you DON'T fire coaches early in their first season and give them a year to build a new team.

To be honest, it's hard to say whether his inconsistency before was purely caused by mentality.

His skillset was never really a good fit for the spot he was playing in (trequartista). At times he had really great dribble, but if you ask him to do it every game in opponent's third then it might simply be too much. Like wise the creative pass required against a sat back opponent, simply not something of Brozovic's main strength. He is a goal scoring threat for sure, but only really in long range shot, so that becomes a limitation because you can't really expect to completely rely on that every game.

I think there is a possibility the consistency issue is a result of being played out of position.

And then the inconsistency causes his morale drop because he realized his poor performance.

And then this goes in cycle.

I really wanted him gone now i m not to sure anymore his recent performances would indicat that he deserves to stay the only thing im still not sure about is his mental game and i m a bit afrqid that he s putting in the work now because he risked loosing his NT spot!

I don’t think his spot in the NT was ever in doubt. He always performed well for Croatia.

If he keeps up this form until end of the season I’d definitely keep him and renew his contract to get rid of that 50 million clause.

My all-time favorite Brozovic moment is when he asked De Boer if he could go home at half time of Inter - Hapoel.

He's had his run of good forms before, but this looks a bit different. Seems to have a settled spot and role in the team and I do agree with those he feels almost indispensable.

The most impressive part has been the way he has been able to help out the defence, which is something many of us have considered his weak spot I think. His tackling and interceptions have been so helpful.

Even at his absolute worst, where he spent games misplacing passes and throwing his hands up in frustration, he still had a hugely impressive work-rate and put in strong defensive shifts.

Brozovic is incredible at the moment. I dont know how Spalletti did it but he has to be a genius!

I thought the nt coach called him out after the last friendly? I might be wrong and it was perisic who got called out!

Saplletti is his first REAL football coach in Inter. He's the first one to notice that Brozo isn't playing well as AMF, and maybe he will be better as regista, just like Pirlo and Kroos, that both were average as AMF and became WC as regista. It seems to me that since Saplletti did this move and changed his rule, Brozo is one of the best midfielder is Serie A and our best player. Our defence look better, our possession and our attacking game. We didnt score vs Milan and Torino, but not because we didnt got a chances, because we had great ones. Vs Atalanta he didnt play and it was a terrible match.

I really wanted him to be sold this summer, but now? i really dont know.

He say he's been playing he shouldn't be sold. Keep in mind this is the first time he's playing this rile and is doing excellent. Selling him would mean finding someone better and in addition a backup as well.

Let's hope he keeps it up. Great goal too, not an easy shot but he placed it so well.

4 goals and 6 assists this season.

Brozovic indeed looks like a lock for this team. And how great that is for Inter because we don't need to look out for a starting regista anymore.

His mentality on the pitch looks like total opposite of what it was 5-6 months ago.
