I dont know what is happening in this topic, but I just want to salute one of my fav all-time Inter players and the player my nickname belongs to. Thanks for proving that you are a great defender. *Something Han and I were shouting and debating about for years here with everyone on the forum*

Lol, I just read something funny. Remember the legendary own goal againist Empoli Matrix made? I guess it was pre-planed, because that, if the verdicts remain the same, put Empoli into UEFA Cup and left Milan out. ;)

What a hero! :D

According to Swedish newspapers, Materazzi is protected by bodyguards during his vacation, after islamist extremists have threatened him. I think Daily Mirror is the first source for those claims.

VALENTINO ROSSI: ONORE A MATERAZZI
Domenica, 16 Luglio 2006 13:31:56
[FOTO Domenica, 16 Luglio 2006 13:31:56]

Translate anyone?

SACHSENRING (Germany) - Yet another act of friendship towards Marco Materazzi, one of the best players at Germany 2006, Inter representative together with Fabio Grosso, who have made all Inter fans proud.

Among them, a great champion: Valentino Rossi. "The Doctor" after winning the grand prix in SACHSENRING (Germania) has celebrated wearing Materazzi's number 23 shirt during the celebration lap and on the podium.

Valentino at the end of the race sent a message to Materazzi: "Ciao Marco, you've been the greatest, we are the champions of the world"!

I think it's an absolute joke that Matrix can still be banned for his act of provocation against Zidane. Provocation in a football match is like chilli in a food; not too healthy but it makes things more interesting.

If they were to ban Matrix for that, I guess they should banned all players who said things like "La concha de tu madre" too. :rollani:

An absolute joke that because the act is done on one of the greatest player ever and on the grandest stage of them all, then Matrix has to be banned.

Equal treatment in all matches and all players is what we want, FIFA! :finger:

Totally agree with you Han, but as soon as the incident occured, I instantly knew that Matrix would be the real "bad guy" one way or another. I mean, he isn't the star player being discussed here and isn't the 34 year old magician that has ended his career either. FIFA is obviously attempting to salvage a player's image who's arguably 3rd best to Maradona and Pele, which is where I place him since he is the best of my generation.

Just wanted to re-itterate what was posted above, these type of remarks are made in footy matches at the park, let alone such an intense match. I mean, at 34 years old, is this really the first time that Zizou has heard these types of remarks?

As for the next season, do you think matrix will be partnered with Cordoba in the centre of the defense? When this partnership were introduced by Cuper back on 2001, I think that both were good and completing each other holes.

I watched an interview with Materazzi ( in his house ), I hope you watched it Khaled ( ART).

Great great great words from il Matrix.

And something else, when he has been asked if he's leaving us, he just said I love Inter and I'm not going anywhere else.

:proud:

Word.

FIFA is a joke, and their house is certainly not in order.

They're just so f*cking desperate to boost Zidane's failing public image, with regards to his temperament, after that attack.

Ciao,
Tim
