Ok. Now I see where you're coming from.

You're the one that would blame Fiorenzuola, for giving away Toni, because it was "obvious" that he will be a top italian striker in next 10 years.

Ok. I think I'm done explaining this, because somehow I get impression, I wouldn't win, no matter what I would say

ps. Cambiasso was so highly rated(back then), that we got him for free
ps2. I wish we would go for Messi 5 years ago. Now he is worth 100 mil, back then... 0(excelent talent)

actually cambiasso was a highly rated player but real madrid don't appreciate defensive-minded players (Claude Makelele for example). Plus his contract was up, thats why we got him on a free.

I can bet, that in 5 years when Arna will be another Ronaldo or something, people will say the same about him. Stuff about "great tallent and etc.", while now most people are very, very carefull about saying what this guy will turn into, and many said it wasn't a good move for Inter.

This is really funny actually , and what is even more funny, is when someone goes into Cambiasso or Maicon thread and see all those posts, that said nothing about "excelent tallent" etc., but now we can't find anybody admiting that Cambiasso and Maicon wasn't highly rated when they came :)

I saw Maicon before Inter signed him, and I wanted to see him at the club right away because he was brilliant at Copa America, but not in my wildest dreams have I ever thought he will become the world's No. 1 right back. I also saw Chuchu at real and there was no sign whatsoever that he will ever turn out to be the best (defensive) midfielder for seasons in Serie A.
guess that someone did an excellent job?

Arna could turn out to be as good as Maradona but that isn't the point... the arguement is our money and efforts should've been invested elsewhere, in postions where we are really lacking... don't you agree? It doesn't matter how good Arna proves to be and nevermind the fact that Arna is a very similar player to Balotelli... we have other priorities at hand... we simply don't need him

It's not about how highly rated he was. Perez didn't want defensive players.

He was highly rated in Argentina after his performances with Independiente and River. Look when he won his first cap for his country.

Anyway, you didn't ask my question regarding Maicon. Secondly, we're trying to have a serious discussion, yet you constantly come up with these sarcastic and pointless one liners that are not relevant to the debate at hand.

I don't really care what the posters on here think. Most of them probably never saw Maicon or Cambiasso play before they came here, so their opinion counts for little.

Cambiasso wasn't released because Perez didnt want defensive players. It was because of Capellos fondness of strong bulky players. Cambiasso wasn't physical enough then for Capello. And the same is true of Zlatan when at juve an thats why he dipped in form for a while, put on to much bulk.

Why arewe comparing Arnautovic to everyone? Time will tell, nothing else is relevant.

Excellent deal. Up to Arnautovic now.

Yeah. It's called: "Saving a hell of a time". If you don't see obvious things, I won't loose my time on you.

Cambiasso was a huge talent in both Argie and RM. Only reason he was kicked was because RM wanted him to form a DM partnership with Beckham (they just had to field Beckham), which of course is a stupid idea and failed.

Maicon was both the best wing/wingback in French league.

You're wrong on that one. We didn't invest any money on him . If he will not prove to be the quality player that our staff expects him to be he will just not play the number of matches that are predicted in the loan contract and we will not pay anything for him. It's a great deal for me!!!!!! And on the other hand if he proves to be a quality player than 9 milion is just nothing.(in this year transfer market where deco is valuated 5 and carvalho 15)

 calm down. thanks but I know what date it is... day after my birthday :) . I already addressed this point when I PM'd you so i'm not going to repeat myself. Why are we all even arguing, lets just agree to disagree and save the rest of this thread for when Arna plays ;)

I see now everybody is arguing that Maicon and Cambiasso were surely to become who they are now. Very talented scouts we have over here!!!

Noo, I didn't expect them to be as great as they are now, but they were much more known and anticipated talent then what Arna is right now.

The biggest reason this kid isn't considered a huge talent is because he played in the dutch league. Hopefully he'll show some of you a thing or two this season.

Van Nistelrooy, Kezman, Mido, Zlatan, Chivu, Maxwell, VDV, Huntelaar and many others were considered as a huge talent. (yes some of the failed).

The biggest reason this kid isn't cosidered as highly is because he hasn't shown anything yet to prove it.
