What's funny is that Real Madrid gave him a 6 year contract. Obviously, they do not have any doubts about his skills and ability. I'm not sure how quickly he will break into their starting eleven and when he will start making an impact but I have little doubt that the time will come when posters start providing regular updates of how he is playing and we will simply sit here shaking our heads. In all likelihood, Mancini and all the shit mediocre players we have at our disposal will also be gone and Inter will still be languishing mid-table thinking about the "Good Old Days".

For me, Kovacic represented what Inter could be if there was a patient and nurturing environment. We had a great young talent that was grateful for the chance Inter had taken on him and wanted to repay the club for its faithfulness. But the truth of the matter was that he was never going to last. Young players never survive at Inter. It is a graveyard club for young players and the environment is simply rotten. That is why we lost the likes of Dennis Bergkamp, Roberto Carlos, Andrea Pirlo, Coutinho and Kovacic. No patience, no understanding and no idea. It has not changed in twenty years. The only thing that has changed in those years are the faces of incompetence.
