The limitation in his footballing abilities is just ridiculous, especially in this time where even goalkeepers are comfortable with the ball on their feet. Icardi lacks the basic to improve as a footballer. Seeing him do any other stuff besides finishing a chance is just cringe worthy. This is why I said he would never be as good as Higuain. He's just not the striker you win titles with.

Nothing to do with it beeing preseason Icardi played like this all last year and the year before that simply beacuse he lacks the ability to do anything else than finish....and its hurting our attacking flow when your playing 10vs11 for 80 min of the game its kinda cringeworthy indeed to watch it unfold

But to be fair a lot of the comments are true. Him not contributing to the game are common things that are evident in almost every match. He does have matches where he contributes other than goals (usually the ones where he has lots and lots of space), but the fact is he isn't a good link-up player. For a team not as creative as ours it's an issue although with certain players, he can do better.

Like i said earlier hes improved last season he isnt gonna miraculously become great at it there will be days where he struggles but its more important to at least give him time this season to get his legs under him. It is more difficult to find a finisher of his quality in the modern day game.

Higuain and winning tittles? He doesn't win titles he loses his team finals...Using higuain to try and prove your point about winning titles is a really bad idea.
