I'm okay about Icardi dropping deep and help to setup the play (by which he's been doing it lately), but what I cannot take is when Icardi does that, not a single motherfucker can replace his role to score the goal or at least to have a decent final touch.

It has somewhat improved, but I wouldn't say "significantly". Besides, right now the major concern is that we don't score and he's a big part of it. Sometimes being involved in the build up play takes him too far away from the area, but lately he has also missed every scoring chance except on penalties.

He's always been kind of "streaky" and hasn't improved at all under this point of view.

Having Keita again should help us the team a lot, as that means to add another striker, one who (unlike politano and this year's perisic) doesn't suffer too much from playing wide in terms of scoring

But as for Icardi, overall he isn't that better compared to a couple of year ago.

For 110 million I would sell him, as long as we already have a good replacement.

And that even without considering the very annoying and recurrent question of his contract.

We have sold Ibrahimovic and created a better team. No one is irreplaceable

When Icardi drops deep someone to fill in the space, if the team doesn't move it doesn't work.

FdB: “I do not think that Icardi was the best possible captain. There are things about him that do not really belong to a captain, like the quarrel with his own fans. You do not want to lose an important player right away if you take over as coach in the middle of the preparation. Goalkeeper Samir Handanovic is the biggest leader in the team. But for the sake of clarity: I never had to complain about Icardi. He always played his part.

“However, I really enjoy [Icardi]. Immediately after the first training sessions, you could see his ability. He marked from all positions, with a good speed of execution. He scored 109 goals in 187 games, an average of over 1 in 2. He has been Serie A top scorer twice in the past four years, that says enough.”

I think this captain debate is nonsense. Today being the captain of a team like Inter is nothing more than a honer for merits and a marketing thing. From this perspective Icardi is the best choice. I really think that nobody outside FIF and the curva nord isn't fine with Icardi as captain.

Let's see ... Under the 10 players with the most caps this season (beside Icardi) we have Handanovic, Perisic, Asamoah, Valero and D'Ambrosio - all players 30+. We have Brozo - vice World Champion with Croatia. Even Vecino has 160 Seria A games. On the bench we have a very experienced Miranda. Do such guys really need a "leader" or "exempel" on the pitch?!

This team doesn't need a better captain. It needs a quality midfielder as organiser. And a trainer and management that kicks some asses from time to time.

We won 4 games out of 4 without him, scored 13 goals and conceded 0....

Barca also have great stats without Messi.
Barca is leading the table, they play great both with or without Messi. With Iardi in the start we have been struggling. Again I don't doubt his abilities, but something tells me his teammates are better without him.

Don't mind if we sell him at the summer for a big profit which help us to strengthen our non-existent midfield.

Inter play trash with or without Icardi. Again I doubt your abilities to see the abilities of players.

Unbelievably shitty game by Icardi. Like what the fuck man? Almost all his touches to the ball were just trash.

Quoting myself from match thread

I think this one has to be the worst performance of Icardi with an Inter jersey. Besides that he didn't score, he was a complete garbage in game play and gave away numerous of balls. I'm not even sure if he has done 3 or 4 decent things in entire game.

Of course he is still our hero, anyone can talk shit they want.
