Eh, Kane is better. Even statistically. But sure, if you'd rather have Icardi, have him.

Mf re read the injury bit

Would you be up for a straight swap with Barca for Coutinho?

Wanda Nara: 'I would like Icardi to be more protected by Inter'

Mauro Icardi's wife and agent Wanda Nara spoke during the Tiki Taka show once again about the contract renewal of the Inter captain as well as the negative news coming out of the Inter camp, despite many of them not being true.

"Spalletti has a problem with me? No, no. Many have written to me asking if he was referring to me but I clarify for the umpteenth time: we did not talka about the renewal. When the management called me, it was to get to know each other better and to talk about other things," she said.

"There were so many fake news, like the non-existent fine. I would like Mauro to be more protected by the club because sometimes some bad things come from inside.

"The priority is Inter. I have never called Inter to request a renewal. We are in no hurry, he still has two years of his contract. A crisis? We are talking about nothing, he has always scored goals.

"Lautaro? He scored goals thanks to great moves from Mauro, who was served little during this period. Maybe Spalletti could start Martinez from the first minute, taking advantage of the fact that Mauro and Lautaro are friends and that there is no rivalry between them," Wanda concluded.

So to put it bluntly, the reason Icardi isn't scoring is because Icardi isn't served by his teammates who are his rivals and don't want to give him the ball. Talking about limitations...

Second, again, with pure honesty, she has never asked for a contract extension... let alone a raise... yeah.

Third and most important, we have a mole in our team apparently, a culprit according to Wanda.

Oh and the Lautaro comment, that's not very far from the truth, but i really think if we put Lautaro without Icardi as a sole striker he would enter in or make way more scoring chances than Icardi, she should shut her dirty mouth about belittling the kid.

This woman is full of shit, and they should both go in the summer!

I really hope we sell him come next summer. I'm fed up with the constant drama mixed with lies and never ending contract talks.

I do truly hope he leaves, he's simply not worth the trouble.

Marotta: No Icardi-Inter problem
By Football Italia staff

Beppe Marotta has assured Inter fans that Mauro Icardi’s renewal ‘isn’t a problem whatsoever’, promising to ‘manage the situation in the best way’.

Icardi appeared to be closing in on a new deal last month, but speculation surrounding whether or not he will put pen to paper has resurfaced, with Coach Luciano Spalletti and agent-wife Wanda making public statements.

“The victory over Parma was important and convincing,” Marotta told Tuttomercatoweb.

“The team and Coach did well. We rediscovered our conviction and I saw Nainggolan and Perisic in great condition.

“I’ve talked to Spalletti over the phone and we’ll talk again today or tomorrow morning. We’ll manage the situation in the best way and in everyone’s interest.

“Icardi’s renewal isn’t a problem whatsoever. We’ve already said what we had to say, beyond the clarification with Spalletti.

“We’ll manage the situation, but I can confirm that there won’t be a problem.”

Spalletti is right, this is going to long and is disturbing the team. It's March in some week and we still are talking about this contract.

And why are we talking about it?

This situation is beyond ridiculous. Icardi should be stripped of captaincy by the next coach, or sold if good offer arrives.

Also... It starts to be very telling, that in the current inflated market with stats as good as Icardi have, nobody wants to pay his release clause for 25 year old. Why do you think is that?

This situation is ridiculous and Icardi should be ashamed of himself that he didn't tell his agent to shut the fuck up in the public regarding anything that deals with his contract.

Captain my ass...

Yeah. Wanda is what Wanda is but Icardi should say to her to simply shut the fuck up regarding contractual issues.

It's quite unbearable situation that this fucking thing keeps dragging on for ages, in the media (!), because Wanda can't keep his mouth shut. It looks that the management's intention hasn't been to extend him now or even during the season at all. I thought they would do it before the season starts and I've thought it has dragged on but now, right at this moment, I feel that management hasn't even have the intention to extend him yet. Media just keeps playing with this subject since Wanda is so easy pray.

But because Icardi is the team captain, he should tell his agent to shut it.

Why didn't he say this to Marotta on the phone or in person instead? Spalletti seems to doubt he will be able to get a CL spot this season or at least he is worried about it and wants to find an excuse for failure other than the obvious reason (i.e., his outdated tactics, poor subs, failing to convince the players, etc). Why does he have to takes sides? How will this help the team play better?

I’m sure Tiki Taka is a Juventino TV program and is taking advantage of Wanda.

I’m really getting sick of this shit. It’s comments like this that makes the club look disorganized and divides. I mean, regardless whether what she said is true or false, Icardi as a captain of the club and his agent should stand with the club no matter what happens, so should the club. Players should only talk to public about the club in the positive ways and you as many diplomatic answers as possible, and vice versa. It’s embarassed when an agent of the captain accuse the club of something.

I’m tired of this whole Icardi saga / off the field circus. I thought the circus on the pitch was enough.

He is now the only problem in the team. He needs to get his head back or else he will be isolated if Lautaro starts putting balls into the net.

After a great team win, and moral boost, fucking idiot Spalleti, decides to stir the pot with that comment. And then he has the face to talk about “defending inter from outside negative press”!!
Mothefucker just gave the press extra material!
He’s the male version of Wanda Nara at this point.

Spalletti was always honest when he talks in front of the camera, this has nothing to do with excuses.

The whole thing started from Icardi and Wanda, not from Spalletti. And it also was one of the reasons why our team had to lose so much points (+Coppa) in this weeks.

Im against Spalletti but before sack we should sell players like him, Nainngolan, Perisic..bring players that care about the colors and not only the job.

tbf i am with my 25% albo on this one. Spalleti seems almost as if he is getting the sack and he is just going out with a bang so when he gets fired he has excuses why he was fired. I do not like those comments not one bit. I miss inter mourinho who stood up for all players. there'd be photographic evidence of one of our players murking someone, and he'd be like prostutizione inteletuale, grande

Talking about “Tiki Taka”, it's the perverted heir of “Controcampo”, a program in which they always found a way to bash Inter, even when we were leading the Serie A table.
Back in the 2006/2007 season, Crespo was among the guests and suddenly had enough of what he was hearing, so he threw a serious rant, asking why they were focusing on all kinds of problems and not mentioning things like the Supercoppa win and the first place in the league. “There must be something good about Inter, something that we're doing better than the others. Shall we talk about it, yes or not??”.
An ovation came from the public, while the presenter (Alberto Brandi) tried to save the situation. Iconic moment.

Ok but that's not the point. It's not who's right or who's wrong in this situation.

It's a matter of some things need to stay inside the management, and not putting it up there in the whole world for everyone to interpret the way they want to. And we all know how the italian media loves to talk shit about inter...so what Spalletti did is, just give them more fuel. That's wrong.
Doesn't help anyone, not Inter, not the team, not Icardi...like Pimpin said, it only provides excuses for Spalletti.
