I think the point is it's very easy for a management group to perform well on an inflated budget. There's a much larger room for error, so even bad transfer signings (like Sensi or Lazaro) don't sting as much.
Just a friendly reminder that the cursed K-Dog, Joao Mario and Gabigooool transfers happened when we had a bit money to spend. After that we got a bit wiser with the money, but those 3 transfers really rocked our finances.

So I would say it's not very easy to perform well on an inflated budget. Good examples are what Barca did with Neymar money or how many horrible deals happened when Moratti was king

And there's been numerous cases when there have been inflated budgets available everywhere in the football world and it HASN'T gone too well. So let's not pretend that inflated budget available means automatically success. It also needs execution at management level. Just look at Juventus. It's soon three seasons they haven't won the Scudetto.

when someone offers to buy Inter for 500 millions, the club (Zanetti co) should take it and make the acquisitions faster.

Zanetti doesn't own the club. Zhangs do and they want over 1bn.

Man U wants 6 billion….. haha

Hopefully the glazers buy us with their spare change. I don’t get why people are so obsessed with the epl. The best 3 teams are real, Barca and Bayern.

Maybe since you can’t just buy Lazio and then drop 2 billion on players like in fifa but Man City, Chelsea and Psg did it and no one said anything

After the summer window, I gave the mercato a 4/10.

Overall for the season I'm leaning towards changing that to 2/10 after the Skriniar debacle and failing to get a couple of players on loan.

I think 4 is fair. Onana and Mkhi were good signings. Jury is still out for Asllani. But everything else was handled terribly.

Here's what I said back then.

Dimarco switching to WBL was a pleasant relief.

In:
Lukaku
. Made no sense for that cost, after his appalling season. It's as if the management was living in a different galaxy while he was here as well.
Asllani. Decent talent but what's the point?
Mkhitaryan. Okay deal but we will need to get rid of him after 1 season - which I trust will be solid enough - and instead we'll keep him on.
Onana. Will be judged when he plays but if you keep Handanovic and you have budgetary constraints, this makes no sense. It's not like we can plan ahead and say he's our next starter, we'll probably sell him before he completes 50 games if he turns out good.
Acerbi. Honestly not a terrible deal but arrived too late.
Bellanova. Another deal that makes little sense. He wanted to become a starter somewhere and he came here to be 3rd in the pecking order behind Dumfries and Darmian.

Out:
Sanchez.
Poor judgment to send him packing, especially since Dybala did not arrive.
Vidal. Too late to get rid of him and cost too much.
Casadei. Would have been nice to keep him but the offer was too good to refuse.
Pinamonti. Decent deal.
Ranocchia. Could have stayed but he wanted to go somewhere to be a starter, cannot blame him for not waiting our inutile management to decide.
Vecino. It was expected.
Sensi. Disappointed by the turn of events, I'd honestly still keep him around since we could barely loan him out.
Vanheusden. Had hopes that the kid could break into the rotation but evidently he's not good enough and cannot be relied upon.
Radu. It'd be toxic if he remained after that Bologna blunder. Hopefully he puts that behind him.
Esposito. Needs the development and the loan destinations so far have been spot on.
Satriano. I honestly would have kept him as the 5th forward. He will surprise us.
Lazaro. Needs to get off the books asap.
Agoume. Another player that I'd keep around.
Pirola. Good loan experience. Needs to return and be part of the rotation if Salernitana drops and he's proving to be reliable.

Not in:
Dybala.
Shame, he was waiting for us for months.
Bremer. Double the shame. Both him and Dybala could have arrived if Lukaku hadn't, assuming we'd sell Pinamonti a bit earlier. We gifted Juventus this player.
Left wing back. We do have Gosens, but we needed one more guy. Not necessarily a starter. Can't tell if this player would have been Udogie or Biraghi, it just needed to be someone.
Scamacca. Won't lose any sleep here, especially for that price. Wouldn't pay more than 30m for him.
Frattesi. Decent player that could have helped in the rotation, but he's not worth more than 20m.

Not out:
Bastoni.
Horrendous decision to attempt to shop him. He obviously seems affected by it.
Skriniar. Even worse. We've been trying to do this to him for years. Barely has 9 months of contract yet and I don't think he's been called yet to renew despite the promise that it'd happen after the rejected PSG bids.
Dimarco. We rejected a couple of bids for him, probably a good decision, but since we need money we should have been more willing to sacrifice him than others, especially if it could finance the Bremer deal early on.
De Vrij. For some reason we didn't push hard to get him sold.
Dumfries. Had some interest but we never shown intent to sell him.
Dzeko. We decided to keep him. He had also decided to stay. Would have been extremely hard to get release him to another club under these circumstances. And honestly I don't mind it as long as he's 3rd striker at best.

Overall? 4/10

It's one thing to have your hands tied by the management, it's another to still raise them and poke your own eyes out...

Kick all the personnel from the club, start from the players, the management, and Zhang Suning to their home. I'm sick to see their face! Just living for their massive paycheck! vergogna!

The following player's contracts are running out in the summer:
- Cordaz
- Dzeko
- Handanovic
- D'Ambrosio
- de Vrij
- Lukaku (on loan)
- Acerbi (on loan)
- Gagliardini
- Skriniar (traitor 🖕)
- Dalbert :yao:
- Bellanova

Tbh I wouldn't give any of those dudes a new contract and would let all of them leave. According to capology we would save 50.820.000 million gross if we let all of them leave. This number is fucking crazy because all those dudes contribute like nothing to the team.

I really hope that in summer there will be a big change in our squad. Next to the mentioned guys above we have to get rid of Correa as well. According to capology that would be another 6.480.000€ saved in wages.

So the problem is not that we don't have money, but that we are spending way too much money on useless players. Every other big club has club-trained players integrated in their squad. Why can't we do the same? In my like 20 years as an Inter fan Dimarco is like the first one who really contributes to the team. And imho it is not like we don't have any good youth players, e.g.:

- Pirola (CB) played very decent against us yesterday
- Satriano (ST)
- Mulattieri (ST) has scored 11 goals and made 4 assists in Serie B this season
- Fabbian (CM) has scored 8 goals and made 1 assist as a midfielder in Serie B
- Agoume (CM)
- Zanotti (RB)
- Carboni (CM)

I am not talking about putting those guys into the starting formation, but at least they should be good enough for a rotational option and those guys don't earn too much and still have to prove themselves.
