It will depend on how far we will go in CL and also Club WC. Club WC starts in June and therefore will count for 24/25 season. If we go far, the Club WC games in July will count for 25/26 season. If we only sell Dumfries we won't generate that much capital gain for 25/26 season and therefore we most probably will have to sell a bigger player in summer 25 to compensate for that.
Tbh it's so far away in terms of ownership etc let's not predict anything until we see what happens with Oaktree

That is nice, but I'm sure that if an extraordinary offer comes for some of our stars, it will be considered.
Just like Barella admitted that he turned down Man City.

Too early to tell if this is possible.

We also need a deeper CL run, let's not take for granted that we're reaching the QF yet. By deeper run, I mean at least semis, which corresponds to more CL and tv money as well as more chances we get better sponsorship deals. And of course, not to fuck the Scudetto up, which we also shouldn't take for granted. We've seen teams lose advantage from February/March many times.

But if we don't have to sacrifice anyone important and ta least have a net spend (for a change) of something like 20m, I'd like to see the following leave:

Cuadrado 4.5m (for those who forgot, he's our player)
Sensi 3.5m
Klaassen 2m
Sanchez 4.5m
Audero 1.5m (send back)

That's 16m gross saved on salaries for effectively 1.5 player that we're using out of 5. We all know it can get a lot better and more efficient. Heck, let's start integrating proper talented kids to the first team for fuck's sake to fill those 7th CM or 5th WB and FW roles...

We have Zielinski and Taremi coming. That pretty much bites a significant chunk of this 16m we'd be saving.

Potential sales:
Dumfries (~30m at most based on the current situation)
Correa (no clue who would pay a penny, at least send him on a loan where we cut some losses)
Asllani (don't think we'll put him on the transfer market but we'll be looking to loan him out or use him in an exchange deal)

2nd goalkeeper is in dire need. Someone who can be trusted for Coppa Italia, at least till the semis if not all the way.
Someone who will not cost a lot. I still don't get how Brignoli is not on our target list and he's frozen out for potentially agreeing with another Greek team before he was allowed to speak with them.

From expiring deals, there's Meret but I doubt he'd come as a 2nd choice or a rotation choice. Sommer has proven that he's reliable enough to be trusted the #1 spot next season as well, otherwise Meret would have been a nice deal.
I'm not sure if Rui Patricio will renew with Roma or maybe return to Portugal, but if I were Marotta I'd be checking that option out.

There's hardly any other names out there. I mean, Keylor Navas or Fernando Muslera are 37-38 years old and would still command much more than we should be paying them. There's Sergio Rico, also from PSG, that we could target for this spot but he deserves a starting spot somewhere rather than be 3rd choice at PSG or 2nd choice here.
Either way, we'll need to get someone that's better than Audero somehow.

If Dumfries is sold, we'll need a RWB. Options aren't that great. We end up with Buchanan who still needs to adjust, although there's some potential there. From Italy there's Di Lorenzo, Bellanova, Lazzari, Hateboer(expiring)... From expiring deals abroad there's Coufal, Kenny Tete...

So we'd need to pay up to replace Denzel.

Problem is that I don't see that many great options from the free agency. We could check Ben Yedder but there's no space for him with Taremi joining. We could check
Adarabioyo but we don't need another CB, we could check Ndidi but we don't really need a DM based on our style, even if such a player may be needed on paper.

If we can stay as we are while we get rid of the expiring guys and get a GK in exchange for Asllani's loan (even better if it's Correa), then we're set. It may be the calmest Inter summer in years, which is ridiculous given the countdown we've entertained ourselves with on the Oaktree loan expiration in May. Zhangs don't want to leave, so we have to live with it. And we're lucky that this silly Club World Cup thing is here to rescue our coffers!

We should keep Klaasen for one more year. He looks ready to feature more often, at least as a sub for Mhki.

Honestly I don't like Klaasen at all. He knows where to position himself, but sometimes his passing is very risky and "brainless". Yesterday, there was a moment where Lecce were pressing, he received the ball and passed it to a teammate, who was nearby and who was immediately attacked by the opponent. His overall performance didn't impress me as well.
If we need more depth in the middle, I'd go for Duncan, who will be a available for free.

My answer is... why not? I'd rather keep him for one more season and then bring Fabbian back the summer after this one.

We need players. Except if more youngsters are about to feature here and there next season, Klaasen being at the end of the bench to play 10 minutes when Mkhi needs a breather is good enough for me.

Klassen was ok for a fillgap for this season, nothing more. We are pretty much set in all positions for the next season. Only a backup GK is needed, or maybe a fifth forward, which could be Carboni or Correa.

Why yes? If Zielinski doesn't come to replace a starter then we have squad depth in midfield for the first time in ages. Calha, Barella, Mkhi, Frattesi, Zielinski, Asllani for 3 positions. Great depth. Why wasting money to keep Klaassen? As a 7th option? You can just save money and include a primavera kid in selections if you want to add another option.

Klaassen had a purpose this season as a 6th option because he was cheap and Sensi was broken. With Zielinski coming Klaassen has no purpose in the squad.

I know all of this and yet I think that next season we will play even more matches than this season, so that is why I think we should keep him for one more season. With Sensi and other non-midfield players leaving this summer, I would keep him as the 7th option.

if we will be in need for a 7th midfielder id actually go for De Roon. He's free and can cover all the midfield positions.

but De Roon probably wants to be a starter, while Klaasen is already here and knows the system

in the perfect world, yes, I would prefer De Roon, but I'm hoping that Klaasen stays and then Fabbian comes to be the fifth choice in the midfield behind Calhanoglu, Barella, Zielinski and Frattesi

De Roon will be 33 in a month. I am sure he wants to be a starter, but if he'd rather win something, now is the time.... And if not, then sure, Klaassen can stays for another year if he wants.
