Am I the only one who absolutely doesn't give a fuck about transfer rumors? I mean, we are heavily linked to dozens of players all the time, half grandpas, half young ones u23... Often on same position. So, not really fond of reading rumors BS.

Really wouldn't care if we had a good team but when our best player is almost 40 and our most explosive player is over 30 with a heart problem not to mention we don't own any CFs. Yes the rumors are very important. It just pisses me off that crap teams now use or name to raise the prices of their crap players. I do like that we aren't really obsessed with Brazil and Argentina and are actually scouting as realistically we can't compete with the other big teams for top players any more

We should really just stop buying players.

I wish the FFP matter penalizes us somehow, meaning: if we want to continue to take part in European cups (CHL or UEFA), we should not buy any new players until we figure something out with our finances (our make a positive balance). That will put an end to the epic transfers that are happening lately, and give a proper chance to our youth academy. Because if we're waiting that the people in charge give those kids a chance to prove themselves, we're here for an eternity...

The management is doing a good job with signing/linking creative technical players or passers like Kovacic, Botta, Laxalt, and Bellomo/Quintero etc. While we really need those, I feel we strongly need a dominant holding midfielder. Someone like Fernandinho (ideally a young Vieira).

The passers and creative players cannot do jackshit if we keep losing the battle in the center of the pitch. Gargano is great at winning the ball, but can't keep it for a moment post that. Every strong side has someone like Busquets, or Khedira, Scheweinsteiger etc in the middle who wins the ball but has decent skills to let the others do their job.

Song's not a great pure DM. Def has the body type and athleticism to be great, but positionally he's poor. Would be a great CM though.

He was deep, but more DLP than a DM. He was mainly sending long balls to the forwards and was rarely defending.

not a pure DM??? HES PLAYED THERE ALL THE TIME FOR ARSENAL!!

Yes and always had problems going up leaving the team unprotected behind. Always had problems with the tactical aspect of the game. Great physique for a pure DM but didn't have the tactical sense always wanted to go up leaving his team vulnerable to the counter attack.

He is a very good CM. I feel Wenger didn't use him properly as they lacked DM. Should be using him as all action midfielder as he can dribble, pass and make very good attacking runs. His positional sense is poor that's one of the reason Arsenal defense was exposed easily.

I think last season Arteta played as DM/DLP after few games which gave Song freedom to make attacking runs. He was good at it, much better than as DM.

Wasting his time on Barca bench. He can be a starter for many top clubs. (didn't rate him much few years back but his improvement every season was superb)
