I still remember how close we were in talks with Nesta, suddenly Nesta chose Bilan and the next day we got Canna. So, eventhough we're so quite, it doesn't mean we're doing nothing.

Do you know our market strategy? What did Mr. Branca told you?

Fact is mercato started, the mercato is open the whole year. What you referr to is the window we are allowed to register players. Other teams are making deals, we just talk.

And you say everyone is overpaying? Maybe it is cause we are underpaying. You can't get a player in whom several other teams are interessted for a fair price, strangely we are interessted in such players and seem surprised if it doesn't work.

I know Branca and co did some smart deals in the past, but somehow it seems as if they think that every deal has to be like Sneijder or Ibrabitches. I am just concerned.
There are enough players who get transfered for quite small money.

My only concern is that it seems like we are just interessted in players where there is a 99% possibility that only a team which overpays can get him but seem surprised if we can't get him for a lot less plus some crappy players of ours, but players like Inler, Isla, Costa and so on which can help us too are of no interesst.

Well it is just that it seems maybe we are working on some great deals in the background. But the fact that we have an old team is entirely our fault, the fact that we have a crappy midfield is just the result of ignoring our midfield department for several years.

I've understood our market strategy is to get younger players now, Moratti talked about it. Younger midfielders to be precise.

Is talking wrong then? Because talking means negotiating. If we can't agree over the prices asked, we can't sign players, it is as simple as that. Yeah, I know you guys just would like us to sign the players no matter what the price is. But it doesn't work like that.

And I didn't say everyone is overpaying, I only said "If other clubs come and overpay". Other clubs != every club. Other clubs in this specific case we are talking about means FC Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester City. And it is purely subjective is it overpaying, normal paying or underpaying, but for Inter it is overpaying. Inter is not going to pay the prices Udinese is asking for at the moment. And it is completely fine by that, because they know how much they can pay. You guys do not know that how much our club really can afford to put money on the market (transfer fees + new contracts).

From what I remember, we signed Canna out from under Milan's nose, then they signed Nesta at the end of the transfer window.

edit: that's from memory though. i could have it switched?

U sure? I still remember that day when Nesta was confirmed by Bilan. That night I checked inter.it and no news about new player. The next day I checked again and I found Fabio's name under the list. I am 100% sure about this because I was so disappointed when I read the news Bilan signed Nesta.

We definitely signed Cannavaro before they signed Nesta, that I'm sure of. As far as who was in talks with who, that I don't remember all the details about.

Stop with this, as if we would have no clue, fact is you don't know anything either. Do you know how much our club really can afford?

I know we are wanting to get younger and don't want to spend much money. But the market is fixing the prices.
It is not that for Inter it is overpaying. It is not overpaying. That is the price and that is just it. It is just Inter can not afford it. Only cause we can't afford someone like Sanchez it doesn't mean other clubs are overpaying. We just can't afford him.

My problem is that I hear names like Sanchez, Pastore Fabregas, people we all can't get due to the price. There are many young people who we can get with spending less, but we seem to concentrate on people which we only can get with spending big but seem surprised that we don't get them by offering not big.

I don't want to spend huge money no matter the price. I miss the middle way. Either we search for a master signings or for a cheap solution. But there are players between.

I do wish Sanchez here, but if we can't afford him we shouldn't waste our time and not to opt to Sculli instead. There must be something between it^^

But we do not know what is going on behind the scenes. But some rumors for people like Inler, Costa, Sissoko, Asamoah would be great. These aren't 30 mil buys but still would be great.

No, I don't know and that's why I don't moan why don't we use this and this much to this and this player.

Your problem is really your problem. It is not Inter spreading those rumors, it is the media. They feed you with those every-summer stories. Every summer it's Fabregas or Aguero or Tevez or whoever big name. If Moratti says something we can speculate about when the reporter for the 10nth time asks whether we are after this or this star player, we shouldn't put too much into those talks.

IN:

1) full ownership: Nagatomo
2) forward/winger: Sanchez/Tevez/Robben/Aguero/Rossi
3) central midfielder: Banega/Montolivo/Guarin/Fernando
4) left-back: Criscito/Tabanou/Radu
5) cheap promising young player: Poli/Ramirez

+ look for discount SALES at Real Madrid.
*) If we receive a crazy offer for Sneijder [above 50m] attacking midfielder: Kaka'/Ganso/Hazard/Hamsik/Pastore/Lamela

My prediction and I would be happy with these realistic targets: Nagatomo, Sanchez, Banega/Montolivo [with Sneijder staying] and 1 left back.

I would even sell Maicon & Motta in order to keep Sneijder. He's the core of our team.

Key word in every business: Strategy

Before two years strategy was to make competitive team for CL, brought older, experienced players like Lucio, Eto'o, Milito, Sneijder.
Last season we have idea with cow who will give a lot of milk again. When we saw that result is different we decided to bring fresh blood like Ranochia, Pazzini and Nagatomo.

This season we don't know what strategy is?

If we will continue with this young, fresh blood than we could see guys like Cesar, Maicon, Motta, Pandev out of here because we have fresh blood ready for that positions in Viviano, Santon, Obi or someone new.

If we wanna be competitive that we could see some proven players, surprises like Lucio or Pazzini.

I would like to see strategy where we will be competitive with fresh blood. Names like Sanchez, Hamsik, Criscito, Pastore are acceptable. Proven young players are best and most expensive scenario.

Question is: are we ready to spend?

inb4vitosfanboyish comments.

I'd take Ramires over Essien, if it came to that.

Ok now, let's differ between Gaston Ramirez (Bologna) and Ramires (Chelsea).

Ramirez from Bologna is the one we are interested in.

KAKA: STAYING AT REAL

AND MAICON SMILES

The former Milan player speaks in Brazil and takes time to make the contacts for his passage to Inter.

Sao Paulo - Kaka has put on the brakes and Maicon smiles. The sensational idea of the market between Leonardo and Mourinho has bounced to the streets of Sao Paulo and the two champions of Brazil are just a few kilometers away from each other. Ricky is spending his first few days of vacation at his villa in a noble neighborhood of the city, while Maicon is spending his time in the area near the Pacaenbu stadium after the farewell football match of the phenomenon Ronaldo.

Contacts with Leo Neighbors, but without having the opportunity to speak. Real Madrid and Inter are, however, working at this exchange. Kaka has cooled the enthusiasm of the Nerazzurri fans. In an exclusive interview with the daily newspaper "Jornal de Tarde", the champion said: "I'm at Inter? I often speak with Leonardo. He is my friend. A true friend. But Leo knows that my desire is to stay at Real Madrid next year." The message is clear, but it must be understood. The translation of Ricky's thought is this: I don't run away from reality and I will not ask to be transferred but I want to play. And what if Mourinho thinks differently? If the Special One wants to push him out of Real and special back to Italy and perhaps to Inter? More than a hypothesis, in fact, the dialogue at the highest levels just started to align the interests of the two clubs. The Special One has always had a weak spot for Maicon while he could use the bench to force the former Golden Ball winner out.

Decisive season The upcoming year will be an important one for Kaka. The injuries will be behind him and the player wants to have a season as a protagonist. Also because his major objective is to participate in the World Cup 2014 as Ricky dreams of lifting the trophy at the new Maracana. But he needs the full confidence of the coach to recover that he has left for Real Madrid as well as the Selecao. And so far with Mourinho, not a lot of things have gone smoothly. And it is likely that there will be a clarification between the player and the coach. Meanwhile, Leonardo will not stop calling.

A smile as interpretation So what will Maicon do? The Inter defender was not surprised when we asked him about the possible exchange with Kaka. He ran at first but he stopped. He looked at us as of he would like to say something. Then, merely a smile for him, highly unusual. A smile that sounds like a "green light" to the operation. And nothing wrong with that. For two years, Maicon has been wanting to go to Madrid. To go back to work with the Special One and to find new stimuli after winning everything with Inter. The game, in short, it's all to play. And it will also continue far from Italy in Sao Paulo.

Prospects On the horizon there are two scenarios. The two clubs, in a short time frame, will continue discussing economic terms of this exchange or the conversation could continue on one track and that is bringing Maicon directly to Madrid (with Kaka staying). The main problem, once again, is his salary which is at 10 million euros. Not low.
