if Inter becomes a much worse club after Skriniar leaves, it's not Skriniars fault

Zanetti was a part of a club with a rich owner, at least in his prime (and Zanetti was still a great player when out of his prime tbh). It's easier to stay at that club than at a club that is in a downwards spiral. Skriniar leaving to Real Madrid or PSG makes sense for him. At least he isn't going to Milan or Juve.

Some users here are disgustingly entitled and out of touch with reality. They expect a professional in the working world to totally love the club unconditionally. Imagine if you give everything for your company only to be mistreated badly, now ask yourself if you still extend your stay at the office or move elsewhere which provides you better salary and better environment. Skriniar has been an excellent player in and out of pitch during his stay, it is the management who is too dumb to handle him.

The "...the management failed to seal a deal earlier" statement seems like a too one-sided statement. Who knows if our management somehow "forgot" or refused to bump the salary too early; OR the player himself wanted to wait for better chances, as he knew he would receive a nicer bonus if he let it runs out?

Well, it is super rare recently BUT that does not mean no one else does. This guy must be super dumb then by your standard.
Just to make it clear, it isn't Skriniar fault. But my fault for rated him that high.

Milan Skriniar now has Annual € 3,000,000

------

Yerry Mina Annual € 3,923,307

Chris Smalling Annual € 3,800,000

Merih Demiral Annual € 2,000,000

Caglar Söyüncü Annual € 1,475,529

Perr Schuurs Annual € 1,000,000

Mouctar Diakhaby Annual € 380,000

Giorgio Scalvini Annual € 300,000

Given the transfer price of Demiral and Scalvini, Mouctar Diakhaby is a clear replacement for Skriniar. But if Zhang suddenly find the money, we have to take Scalvini

Well, if it’s that, so deal with it then.

Agree that management has been mishandling this for many reasons, the timing, financial restriction, sell or not sell last summer, wage structure and another extensions in near future, believing in him totally wanted to stay … it’s complicated.

Skriniar might want to have little more than current offer from Inter or he’s already had bigger offer but he’s free to do so. He respects contract and goes to whatever he wants after.

I’m more worried about who will replace him. Smalling or think-out-of-the-box like Kim Min Jae in Napoli.

Raising your salary to the ceiling along to the rest stars in the team ( Brozovic, Lautaro, even Lukaku earns 12 mln gross, but anyway he is leaving in few months), and giving you the captain's armband, it is hardly a bad treatment. He will move to P$G, where his salary is better, but not the environment. Now he is one of the club's stars, he gets along well with his teammates, the fans adore him. In P$G, he will be just one of the group. If you don't believe me, ask Hakimi, who wants to come back at Inter.
In this case, everything is about the money solely, doesn't matter how you paint it.

Don't have one.

How was he mistreated badly? We gave him a captain armband and refused to sold him to peanuts or what in those moments seemed like peanuts, despite the club being in a difficult financial situation. Now, if you are referring to the mere fact we negotiated for his sale as mistreating him badly, then you are the one who isn't familiar with professionality in sport, cos I don't think skriniar was hurt by that, quite the contrary, those salary promises from psg sparked the interest to join them for free it seems.

This then again mgm s responsibility is towards the club and not any single player, if they believe think that we cannot afford to pay a player more then what we offered then it would be reckless and negligent to offer him the money just cause we re all emotionally attached to him and he s Skriniar. Yes mgm made some other dumb deals that in hindsight could have been avoided in order for us to now have the money to pay skriniar but i dont like to play that game as nobody wins. Also we could find the money in summer to finance a new deal for skriniar but again if the club self imposed a wage celling cause we re financially in deep shit the right thing is to abide by it no matter the sporting consequences.

The biggest blam mgm has to take in this whole saga is not selling him last summer we could have given him our best possible offer 1 year ago and still made like 50 mio off of him in summer but somehow we decided to wait till the last moment. Now thats a huge fuckup....

Also i m still not sure he s gone like he could have told us that he s off by now he knows our offer and he knows what he could get at PSG or in the EPL but he has not done so thus far. Only reason to not tell us he s gone when we showed hi our last offer is cause his intentions are still to stay but he hopes for a slight better contract.

Worst fuckup of this whole saga will be that we lose a great player for free not that we did not manage to keep him.

I've changed jobs just to earn an extra couple of grand a year, and we're talking about 4-5 MILLION

3x3=9 millions, nice package for Skriniar 📜
Let's not forget about the 12 million sign bonus, which does not give us the opportunity to sell him even in this transfer window.

Nobody is calling Skriniar a traitor. He has his incentives to not accept our offer and we have our reasons as to why we can't meet his demands. Jeez.. the double standards of some fifers here. Why those who approve Skriniar's potential decision to accept PSG offer do not do the same in regards to the management's decision not to give him more than they can? They can't offer him a better contract because it's detrimental to our budget, the club has their right to care about their well-being, don't they?
