He is too advance for me. Rating above 2000 is no joke. I'm 900-1100 and I find it tough to play someone over 1000 rating. My doc kind of recommends me to play it every day, since to latest Brain MRI scan shows some shrinkage in the brain mass, which could indicate early Alzheimer. So, the best way to work around that by playing 2-3 setups a day.
Hey Dave thanks for sharing and sorry to hear about your MRI. Chess will help and it's also a beautiful game.
I'm around 1840+ and will even go as low as 1500 if I don't keep playing or do puzzles for a while.
Would recommend you also check out the puzzles because they will help your in a passive way where you're not pressured for time.
Also Gotham is okay and the biggest channel on youtube but I would suggest https://www.youtube.com/@ChessNetwork if you really want to learn. Agadmator is also great (he's got playlist or sagas for a bunch of players from the past that you might like)
Wish you all the best
Thank you. You have a great rating, 1840 is no joke. I do puzzles too when I get tired from the live games, or just play with the boat with no pressure. I find that 30 minutes game keeps me concentrated better, anything less I tend to make simple mistakes.
