Now starts a massive lobbying by the projects. Luxury trips, booze, cocaine, prostitutes...

Was the building of the new spurs stadium not an absolute disaster and take way longer than planned and incurred way higher costs then budgeted?
Not saying it s popolus fault that construction ended up being an absolute shit show but i would be critical of everybody involved in that project.

Dude, you gotta go there. Its the best stadium atmosphere and acoustics I have ever experienced, and I have been to a stadium or two. Absolutely stunning. And they are saying that their plans for Milan are even more ambitious. I was hoping Populous win the rights even before I saw their design.

The politicians will fuck everything it up... Move to Sesto for real... Renovating the Meazza is insanity for the clubs...

F.C. Internazionale Sesto San Giovanni.

It doesn't sound bad. You can get used to it.

and we won't be called INTER MILAN no more :awyeah:

Heavy lobbing is needed to get the decision from the council. I don't understand what is the benefit of just renovating the shitty Meazza. Those new stadium projects inlucde massive investments to the surrounding area too. If there is no requirement of public money to the project, what is the problem? They just want to squeeze even more?

Because they want us to still use the Meazza and pay them money after reinvesting in it as per usual. Trust me on this Cafe, the two clubs will not wait - once they are tired of smelling enough of the bullshit, they will move on. It cannot be stopped at this point, these idiots don't understand that they do not have the upper hand here, we'll simply build the museum around the San Siro if that's the case  Seriously speaking, the only money we've spent so far at this point has to do with architectural feasibility studies I guess? So we'll probably push this as far as we can before we give up trying to convince them. Both clubs are probably prepared for this anyway, heard the council want to get some shmuck architect that Thohir brought back in 2015 to back them up on the San Siro restructuring, clowns.

Populous:
A little bit of technical bits: the current San Siro has a brilliant atmosphere, it has many weaknesses as a stadium but the atmosphere is great. This stadium will be almost 10 meters closer to the field than the existing stadium, and that’s 65,000 people moving 10 meters closer to the pitch, this wall of people which will be phenomenal for our players and for our spectators.

“And if we look at other projects, like the Roma Stadium, we’re about 6.3-6.5 meters closer – incredibly tight and close. And even Tottenham Stadium, which is the tightest in Europe at the moment, we are very much the same at the front because we literally cannot move the stands any closer, we’d have no pitch… but we’re about 2.5 meters, 18%, closer on the two end stands, the two home stands – the Curva Sud and the Curva Nord. This will be an incredible atmosphere, an incredible wall of people.

Can't decide which politicians are worse Italian or Slovene... Oh wait it's the same corrupt shit everywhere, causing problems just for the sake of it... The classics
Well the most successful politicians are straight up sociopaths so...

I changed my mind. I think we should go for Populus. It's just more dramatic and standout.

The only thing I really like about the Manica design is keeping the old San siro pitch. I think it would be really cool to be able to walk where the legends played. They could even put markers for where famous goals were scored.

Other than that Populous all the way

I believe the politicians in Milano are really dumb enough to force us to go to Sesto and they end up with a relic they can't milk anymore... Haha would be an epic suicide from them.

It will be sad when the old San Siro pitch is being played and destroyed by random people. Soon it will be full of graffiti and made a place where druggies camp in the nights.

I prefer the museum idea by the Populous. Tell the story which can be appreciated by generations after.

I don’t think it would ever get like the way you describe it. It would be inside of the perimeter for the stadium. Either way to each their own. I think the field could be an interesting thing most stadiums don’t have.

Have you ever walked from Lotto metro station to the stadium? or have you seen any walls around the stadium? Full of graffiti.

It would be inside the perimeter for the stadium but whatever outside of the stadium will be free access to public for 24 hours a day. It is basically a public park with a football pitch.

then they better get professional graffiti artists to do up the walkways so that there's no chance to have shitty graffiti

Are you sure it’s available 24 hours are you assuming that?

I haven't been following the new stadium plans and stuff. Do we even have permission from the council/government to build one?
