New stadium? Do we need one? We were discussing about this, so I decided to open new thread.

We have Meazza, it's big, but old and not so attractive. In the end, it's shared with Milan. Do you like to see Inter play on new stadium, his own stadium? I would, but who will give the money for it?

Of course Moratti will ... who else wud build a stadium 4 Inter ???!!!

i wud be missing the heritage of San Siro ... but d thing is ideally its nt a ground where the pitch is good enuf for top quality soccer thru-out the year.

plus we need to move ahead with times and hv a new stadium in place which wud be attractive and be at per with the likes of Allianz Arena or the Emirates stadium.

a 70,000 capacity stadium ... where the fans are very close to the pitch ... archetecturally unique ... a a gr8 playing green

thatz what i want ...

i guess we wud need an investment of bout $400m-$500m

i think we need a new stadium plus we need one at a good location i mean our current stadium fail to attract the amount that is required by big clubs just look at bayern munish stadium for instance they have a full house and thats what we need.our stadium isnt full and its a bit like jubes stadium so yeah we need one lets give the giuseppe meazza and get another stadium because it sucks sharing our stadium with those milan losers.

Never leave the S Siro, it's our home, one of best stadia in the world. If you say you want a new stadium, you probably never went to the S Siro.

I haven't been to our stadioum, but my biggest wish is to go... I agree that club's symbol is the stadium, but sometimes you have to change something, change to better... I'm talking generally, not just for Inter.

Exactly:star:
And not only that, the San Siro has the best playing turfs in Italy and one of the best in the world! Also, the only bad thing about it, is that the seats behind the goals do not have backs. That's the only mistake of it, and it's easy to replace those. Also, the fans there are really close to the stadium.

If you sit behind the goals you usually stand on the seats mate, it's a place for die hard fans, no time to sit down!

i dont know what you are talking about i mean one of the best playing turf in italy and the best in the world are you kidding thats why our players keep on slipping and lose control easily.i have to say in history our stadium is one of the best but on turf issues its the worse even a few times during champs league the commemtator tells that te san siro pitch is not in good condition.thats why i said we get a new stadium for the better it will be greater than it is.

yeah it's great, and the atmosphere is something out of the extraordinary, but still the stadium need some renovations, and the pitch is horrible, it might be one of the best in Italy but that also tell how bad the pitches are in Italy. I don't know whether we should change stadium or not, if we do then we would get a modern stadium with top of the notch facilities. and with a great atmosphere and that sounds very appealing. but then we would lose the great History of S Siro.

I have some doubts about this issue, I think that our stadium is a bit old and in desperate need of renovation, the pitch doesn't look perfect at all in my opinion and maybe we sould try to get something to be the symbol of the new Inter, perhaps in 2008 (100 years).

On the other hand I feel that San Siro is a symbol of Inter and it has a special atmosphere that doesn't exist anywhere else, so what I'm trying to say is that for now I would prefer if we (and Milan) did some renovations and keep playing at the Giuseppe Meazza.

Personally I think, although I won't mind moving to better stadium, I think we should stay on Meazza due to money. Building new one will cost us too much, while renovating Meazza will cost less... Maybe our board can agree with Milan for together renovating, we play on same stadium after all...

I will never want Inter to move from the San Siro, ever. It is more than just a huge fortress.

It is our home.

San Siro may be old, but it is a living testament to our legacy. You will be hard pressed to find another stadium with as rich a history as the San Siro.

For the life of me, I can never understand why people continue to harbor thoughts of a new stadium; it all sounds pretty absurd to me, really.

Ciao,
Tim

I totaly agree with you, can't say it better. Although i never went there (probably this years derby i will be in milano ;) ). Without Stadio G.Meazza, Inter will lose a part of himself.

In my mind we don't need a new stadium, Sna Siro is attractive and nice and also it's history!

But truiely if we need a new stadium, let that be after 2010 or even after that a bit, then we start building a new stadium in 2 years time or so.

San Siro is part of history, but first of all it's Milan history, it's their stadium. Personally I don't think that it's good idea to share a stadium with our arch rivals :frustrat:

Now after this scandal sponsors will be interested in Inter as the only best team with best reputation in Italy, so we could see project of new stadium after couple of years.

Even San Siro is 5-star stadium, it's not as good as for example Emirates or Allianz.

Also number of matches played there during one season is two times more than in any other stadium, so pitch quality is not always good.

I want Inter to have new stadium with around 70,000 capacity.

I will never would liek Inter to do something together with Milan. We share stadium, have one museum, what else :frustrat:

We defenetely need new stadium, with our own museum where we will have history of Inter players and success.

No Milan :frustrat:
