PES "Pro Evolution Soccer" 2008

Pc version has some technical issues. Wait for kitserver to solve them. Also ps 3 apparently suffers from slow downs.

Pc versions issues has to do with problems on pc's with 4 gig ram and the game not detecting the correct graphics settings on some pcs and no wide screen resolutions. All of these were a problem in the demo as well. Kitserver fixed it but we need a new version since the one which worked with the demo won't work with the full version.

I will get the pc version.

Hey guys, I've heard a few complaints that PES 2008 for the PS3 isn't exactly a great leap from last year's version, taking into account the fact that this is a PS3 game!

I'd like to hear the opinions of Interisti before taking the plunge. Your thoughts, guys?

I played the demo and i realy enjoyed it but i m not sure if i should get it coz i m not sure if it is a game u can realy play fore a long time without getting bored.

I have my copy for PS2 and game is fine, I can't notice any big improvents, maybe players turning around slower and Barcelona is too strong. I can't catch Messi(my cousin is Barca fan).

Materazzi,Maxwell and Maicon are better from last year and Adriano is litlle slower.

I recently played the PS2 version, and I'm Farking disappointed cause there ain't no improvements at all except for the squad changes, new kits etc etc...

Our Negatives:
Matrix looks like "hell boy" but with a mustache too, Maicon is a ridiculous looking Chimpanzee, while Ibra has that small haircut which he had at Rube when he was on crack.

Our Positives:
Our Squad is immensely improved. Oli is so farking realistic, JZ is the same old Christopher Reeve lol, Julio Cesar has his own face finally and got his stats upgraded as well.

Much better game than Fifa 08. Gameplay I won't say has improved a lot from last year but is still better than fifa.

And at least they have used the pc's capabilities the graphics look fantastic 100% better than fifa 08 on pc.

Only complaint is that unlike last years version 1680 x 1050 isn't supported officially. Thankfully there is a fun made patch.

Boots To give him the boots you need to find out his PLAYER ID which u could find in the game where u see ppl profile. You put the file in kitserver. There's a map.txt file that tells you what to do.

Fifa on PC is current gen thats why PES has better graphics but on NEXT gen FIFA 08 is easily the better game by miles.

Comparing pc version vs pc version here. If EA is too lazy to give pc gamers the real version that ain't my problem. On the pc PES craps all over fifa.

I actually disagree. KONAMI are the lazy company not EA. They gave us an unfinished game loaded with bugs. I bet most PC's couldn't even run a proper next gen game. Btw, in what ways do you find PES superior and it what ways goes it crap all over Fifa? Because PES's gameplay is terrible and far from realistic it plays like an arcade game.

Important stuff like no kit selection in Master League, bad refereeing, super scripting, goal keeper blunders, etc. haven't gotten fixed. After 6 weeks KONAMI have yet to solve online and their once loyal fans have given up all hope. Where as FIFA 08 online has the best feature ever in a footy game. 5 vs 5 online and it has NO LAG. 1 vs 1 online is loaded with lag after 2 PATCHES. PES2008 is a joke.

FIFA 08 maybe have issues on the PC but on the next gen consoles where it really matter it's nearly flawless! I bet you had to spend like several hours downloading several gigabytes just to get your game playable I remember being you and doing this for PES 5 and 6.

Explain why does next gen consoles matter and pc doesn't matter thats pretty biased view. I hope you have facts to back that up or is it just a console fan boys view?? a High end pc is just as good if not a better gaming system than a next gen console the console might costs less and pc hardware more while the pc games cost less and the console games cost more . The only difference is with a pc you need to do maintenance for everything to work properly. Some people don't like and hence they stick to consoles but dismissing the other is really foolish.

If they have dumbed down the graphics then kitserver must override that since my pc version still has the same graphics with both patches installed as it had before. With everything maxxed out I still get 60fps at 1680x1050.

No I didn't spend hours downloading stuff to get my game working correctly max time I have spend downloading 2 patches and a kitserver was 1 hour and that includes searching for the kitserver.

There are issues with PES never denied but it's a much better game than fifa and still is. This one is not as good as pes 6 but it's still better than fifa.

The PS2 has been able to handle new games for 7 years. So the game designers are gonna be making new games for the next 7 years that will be able to be run on the next gen consoles.

The xbox 360 is based on the same design used for the geforce 7800gtx.

Console system last longer while to get games to run great on pc requires more upgrading. It depends what kind of resolution and details you expect.

But the high end pc usually surpasses the console within 6 months of it's release.

When xbox 360 was released it had the best graphics system but it was surpassed in 6 months by the pc.

It really depends whether you want a more powerfull system which requires more care and maintenance or whether you want a system which will last longer and require less effort. Different systems of gaming for different kinds of people.

The thing is it's easier to push a console to it's max since when designing a game for the console say for xbox 360 you know it has a set of hardware and all xbox 360's has that while for the pc you are dealling with hundreds of different hardware configurations so you need your game to scale between high end system and gamers with limited systems. Most games don't push the high end pc games it's only really crysis currently which troubles top end pcs.
