Spalletti also openly criticized Cancelo in the media during the season, and Cancelo himself spoke of the friction between them after he left.
He is not a "scapegoat", he is a direct culprit. We didn't have 35mil cash for Rafinha but we had 38mil for Radja? Care to elaborate that reasoning?

Defending the man and not an argument indeed makes you a fanboy, it's literally the opposite of ad hominem and just as detracting to the discussion. As far as Rafinha goes - I don't have a crystal ball, there is no way I can tell you whether he would still get injured if he stayed with us. There is no such thing as fate, injuries are accidents.

The whole argument is whether Spalletti wanted those two at Inter after their loans or not, not whether we could've or whether we should've signed them - and I firmly 100% believe he did not want either of the two. So when you (and notice how I directly specify who) chime in with an absolutely pointless post that has nothing to do with the topic, only to say "yeah keep blaming Spalletti", while not replying to anyone precisely nor providing a proper argument and therefore not actually putting some weight behind your words, it's just an utter waste of time and effort.

Radja and Rafinha wouldn't have been the same deal! First of all we don't pay the full fee for N9. Santon and Zaniolo were counterparts and how the deal was settle helped us make plusvalenza. More than 15m, huge sums for plusvalenza out of an washed up player and an unknown kid.
We all moaned the whole time why the deal for Rafi and Cancelo were settled so unfavorably for us, knowing we need to make first plusvalenza. The only circumstance where we could have made the deals permanent was to sell Icardi (maybe not 110m, we "valueeted" him, but more than what we will receive now). Probably that was Saqbatini's plan and the reason he made those timelines in deals.
And selling Icardi would have allowed us to improve further. We would have enough money for another midfielder and an Icardi's replacement. And I firmly believe we would have been now in a much better position to fight for the scudetto against those fuckers (I don't even want to pronounce their name)!

- Rafinha was a little bit easier, as Barca was willing to deal even after 01.07. But still, they wanted pure cash, with even more money (38m iirc). At that time we were in the last year of settlement agreement and we had to break even. Remember we needed a winger, but had to dig all over Europe to find whoever available for cheap option to buy (Keita)? One euro surplus of net spend would risk being tied by that SA for one more season.

As andrei said, we should have sold Icardi to cover the cost. But him at that time was simply untouchable. Sabatini proposed the idea, being rejected and he resigned immediately afterwards.

If you read my post above you could see that it was me who originally mentioned about Sabatini's proposal to sell Icardi to make the plusvalenza for the duo. If Spallo wanted them real bad and had balls he would go for it, like he went for Radja.
