I think this rumour is a response to the rumours that said we wanted Borriello. Don't think either of them are true.

Perhaps in a few years it will not only be Balotelli vs Pato, but also Borriello vs Acquafresca?

Ok, not too impressive. Maybe also for the fact that he only played for 45 min. Matri had more scoring chances than him. His best chance was probably shooting in between 2 Inter players (inside the box) only to give the ball right to JC's arms

I somehow imagine that Inter was more afraid of Acquafresca than they were of Matri, so Acqua got much more attention from our defenders. In addition, it seemed like it was Chivu who marked him for most of the match. You'll probably be able to figure out why Matri had so many chances looking at our other CB.

Does anyone know if we will back him? He is very good I think and would be great as a good substitue.

He won't be back this summer, I'm pretty sure. If the club see him as a future striker for us, he will be loaned out/co-owned next season as well to a club in Serie A. The earliest we will see Acquafresca at Inter is 09/10, perhaps even 10/11, if we ever see him here. The club might see him as a possible trade player to get other players.

Will be difficult to tell, but I don't think we'll sell him outright this summer.

I don't think it's in his or Inter's best interest that he plays for Inter next year. There will be Ibra, Cruz, Balotelli and probably Adriano. He will not get much playing time. For him to excel for his own and Inter's benefit he needs to play week in week out next year. He won't do that here, so I hope he can play in a Serie A team next year so that he can continue to develop.

I agree. One more year loan at least for Acqua. If you think about it, he could be a good replacement for Cruz/Crespo should they stay in Inter 1-2 more years.

I think it would be a mistake to sell him now. Either loan him out or co-own him with a club in Serie A. If he continues to develop he could become a rather cheap (only buy 50% of him) replacement for Crespo/Cruz in a couple of years so that we can save some cash there. And if he fails to become Inter material he will surely have some market value for us to cash in on.

I hope we don't fool ourselves by losing our rights to this player.

As far as i know Acquafresca is the main player in attacking department of Casiraghi team.. His call-up is 100%..

This is an interview with Acqua's agent. He indirectly says Inter will get 100% of his contract now and loan him out next season to a Serie A club where they know he will play. Inter are not willing to co-own again in fear of ending up with a blind auction. Inter is also said to be willing to make Acquafresca a part of the team from next summer if he continues to develop next year.
