I struggle to understand what his role is. I'm not taking the piss, I actually don't get it.

Gagliardini and Barella press the opponent and play as box to box midfielders. Brozo in the middle is the playmaker/regista.

Eriksen doesn't fit in that role because Conte tactic is based on pressing and quick movement.

Sometimes he gets on my nerves, because he's kind of a donkey, but he gives on the pitch what he can.

Who knows, maybe he will even score in the final, sometimes football is just like that.

Yeah. In matches like these where we just defend and do not have too much ball possession, Gags is doing okay. Whenever we have more possession and eventually Gags is getting the balls also, his weaknesses are getting exposed a lot more. Usually when Gags is having more than 1-2 touches to the ball in a row, it starts to go south.

These last few matches, he’s looked more secure in possession than Barella and Brozovic. Granted, Brozovic and especially Barella attempt more ambitious passes, but still give away cheap balls. Our midfield has been utterly dominant in way that it hasn’t been with Eriksen on the pitch.

I’m confident that Eriksen can either adapt to the flat midfield or play behind Lukaku as a second forward next season. As things stand though, we’ve looked much better with Gagliardini on the pitch.

Actually his movement for Lautaro's second goal was good one as gave the latter time enough to pull off a shot.

He had good game yesterday, but his limitations in terms of technique, fucked him up badly on few occasions. He shouldnt run with the ball by no means, even if he does one or two good moves, he fucks up eventually.

Was immense in defense tho. Covered lots of space and made some great tackles. Also did great dummy run for that Lautaro second goal.

Gags is a player that makes you shake your head and say why? Then he starts and plays the entire match and you say well he did more good than bad and we won. Repeat for the next match.
