“A Coach's future depends on his results,” he said in today's Press conference. But I still have one year on my contract and I'm not worried."
[..]
“Today I'd give the team a pretty low rating, but not because of the players. They worked extremely well, I'd only give myself a low rating, in spite of the excellent start to the season."

So I watched his presser and I have to say that I think from his attitude...he was not talking like a guy who is excited about the future, more like a guy that can't wait to get the hell out of dodge
At least that's what I interpreted from his visual performance, but some of his words also could indicate he is fed up...
I could be wrong but I hope not...

It's admirable what he said imo
A cynic in me though thinks he's saying everything that needs to be said to keep the job ("you can win without big investments :yao:"). Either way, I think it's accurate description of what's happening with Inter. He's had everything needed to get us the third spot and a shot at qualifying for CL and he probably won't make it.

Although I don't like Mancini, I hate changing coaches more. At the beginning of the season I thought top 4 should be enough for him to keep his job. But as the season developed, with all that was happening with Roma and Bbilan, it seemed like the objectives changed and the 3rd spot seemed to be a more appropriate one. But, not only that we are far away from top 3, we'll might even have go through the EL qualification round, while also not having developed a clear system of play, almost 18 months after. Now, whether we'll have to sell our best players because of that, players who'd probably start from bench in top clubs (Kovacic), is another, even scarier story.

There is still chance though. Roma is nothing if not frail, so another opportunity might arise down the road.

Watching how he says it is even more important(tbh) than what he says, you could for instance spot that he doesn't rly mean what he says or in fact is lying... I got that impression

but maybe it's just my desire to see him leave interpreting it that way...:unsure:fuck you brain!

Roberto Mancini felt Inter thoroughly deserved their 1-0 win at Frosinone and retains hope for third place.

He said it was "Excellent Inter" in the match against Frosinone. Is it only me or was that really an awful performance and Mancini is delusional ?

Maybe he thought it would be hard without Nagatomo and therefore he thought the result was excellent?

Mancini haters:

"Given that there are 6 matches left to play, Inter could end up with more than 70 points for the first time since the 2010/2011 season when Inter finished 2nd behind Scudetto winning Milan on 76 points. Most seasons 70 points is good enough to finish third, this year it wont even come close. However, as much as Mancini has been criticized by parts of the Inter faithfull, opinions are opinions and facts are facts, and the latter points to Inter finishing with their highest point score in 5 years no matter how anyone feels about Mancini’s performance this season."

As usual, these things are relative, not absolute. Using this statistic as some kind of justification is as misleading as it is wrong.

I guess it is from here:
http://www.sempreinter.com/2016/04/09/terzo-tempo-ugly-undeserved-unbelievably-lucky/

It is a retarded statement as you don't take the general form of the league into consideration. Roma has been fucked this season, Milan has been Milan, Lazio has been a big mess and Fiorentina has been very disappointing. All this have of course benefited us. The fact that Sassuolo and Chievo are able to be on the 7th and 8th position in the league do also tell the story of the rest of the teams.

He has no control over the dressing room and he cannot be too critical of our players will start underperforming again.

Not to say that our players are doing great right now, because they are not.

Lol 12 points means 4 wins from 6 matches at least. And they are definitely NOT easy games. Just a short remind...we lost half of them at the first part of the season (Napoli 1-2, Lazio 1-2, Sassuolo 0-1) :yao:

And he has been given very good signings unlike Mazzari, Ranieri and Stramaccioni.

His total spendings for this season are 90m euros according to transfermarkt. They've taken into account the delayed payments on some of our loan signings etc. e.g. we're already minus 8m euros next season for our payment to Roma for Dodo. lol..

Anyway, according to the figures on this page, we haven't spent so much in incoming transfers since the treble season. Though to be fair, we did apparently make a small profit from outgoing transfers (which we also achieved during the treble season). Either way, regardless of net profit/loss, in terms of raw cash spent, its true that he received a lot more than Mazzarri, Ranieri/Gasperini or Stramaccioni.

don't forget though, they're only taking into account loan fees for miranda, jovetic, eder, ljajic, montoya, and telles. my point being that we signed more than 90 mill worth of players.

first part of the argument is that we have the most points since 2011. that does not in any way prove mancini has done a good job. anyone that actually takes a second to think about that statement wouldnt make it. the argument is basically that mancini has done a good job because we have been more consistent than than 11/12? we ahve more consistency than 12/13? we have more consistency than 13/14? we have more consistency than 14/15? these seasons are all clusterfucks. also, mancini definitely has the best squad we've had since 2012 and the squad and highest chances of finishing in the top 3 since 2012.

the second part of the argument is that we are consistent enough to make 70 points at the end of the season. as previously mentioned, there is a reasonable probability we won't make 70 points. secondly, even if we ignore that, what does our point total indicate? nothing. most of our points were from our run in the first half of the season when jovetic, ljajic bailed us out going forward and handanovic bailed us out at the back. other teams with inferior squads (fio) are only 2 points off our current total. our current point total will likely not be enough to challenge roma for 3rd place, which is a fucking disgrace considering how we started the season and how roma started the season. we're in fucking 5th place right now after spending 90 mill (technically 100+ worth of players, definitely 110 including miranda and eder) and selling off our best young player to accommodate that spending and our coach's "tactics".
