don't forget though, they're only taking into account loan fees for miranda, jovetic, eder, ljajic, montoya, and telles. my point being that we signed more than 90 mill worth of players.
first part of the argument is that we have the most points since 2011. that does not in any way prove mancini has done a good job. anyone that actually takes a second to think about that statement wouldnt make it. the argument is basically that mancini has done a good job because we have been more consistent than than 11/12? we ahve more consistency than 12/13? we have more consistency than 13/14? we have more consistency than 14/15? these seasons are all clusterfucks. also, mancini definitely has the best squad we've had since 2012 and the squad and highest chances of finishing in the top 3 since 2012.
the second part of the argument is that we are consistent enough to make 70 points at the end of the season. as previously mentioned, there is a reasonable probability we won't make 70 points. secondly, even if we ignore that, what does our point total indicate? nothing. most of our points were from our run in the first half of the season when jovetic, ljajic bailed us out going forward and handanovic bailed us out at the back. other teams with inferior squads (fio) are only 2 points off our current total. our current point total will likely not be enough to challenge roma for 3rd place, which is a fucking disgrace considering how we started the season and how roma started the season. we're in fucking 5th place right now after spending 90 mill (technically 100+ worth of players, definitely 110 including miranda and eder) and selling off our best young player to accommodate that spending and our coach's "tactics".
