Is Lippi or Capello an option?

Lippi must be close to retirement and i doubt would take a project of our size on at this point of his career and capello has said he doesnt want to manage us many a time before, no it should be someone looking to build a project or looking to redeem himself.

No, i mean at how little the club has done. We can say mancini isnt getting his old players haha, but he's requested a right winger and we've failed on Candreva (trying again) Berardi, G.Jesus and J.Mario. Now there's talk of icardi leaving. Offcourse thats going to piss your manager off. One position we really need and we've failed on them all. Plus, we dont have any young good alternatives. Fair enough, no to toure, but no alternative at all.

We have a decent core, and anyone with half a coaching brain should be able to get something out of these guys. We won't be spending the big bucks, but I believe with the players we have, we don't need that much reinforcement either. Mancini wants 5+ players every window. How can you have a solid cohesion amongst the players when this continuously goes on? The new owners shut that revolving door, and this is what should be done.

Plus I will add that the window isn't immediately shutting, so we still have time! Yeah it sucks that nobody has come other than free transfers, but we will surely add with or without him.

I say we put the managers who are available in a WWE style ring and let them fight each other Mortal Kombat style until one remains, shows desire

Should have made it clearer i meant no new signings when i meant no alternative to Toure etc, not our current crop. I agree we have a good core, but theres no doubt Yaya and Candreva would make us almost certain for second place. Mancini wants success not a long project. Not endorsing those signings because id be against toure, just saying i can see why he'd be pissed off.

Yeah, it does sound like the issue. Mancini wants a more ambitious Inter to focus on at least a top 3 spot next season... whereas Suning seem to be looking for a long term project with younger players, which possibly means not caring about results in the next 2-3 seasons.

I must say, I prefer the Mancini approach here - a club like Inter has to aim for the top 3 spots at the very least. We will not have the luxury of developing talent without pressure for the next 2-3 years for a CL qualification challenge... the fans will turn against such a project within a few months. We are so close after last summer of rebuilding, and a couple of quality players should give us a great shot at CL qualification - it sounds silly to abandon this project at the final hurdle. Unfortunately, it sounds very much like Inter...

Why not both though? There are plenty of young players who would could sign that would both lower our average squad age, and improve our team. Mancini wanting to sign a 32 year old Toure is short-sighted, and even a 29 year old Candreva is a debatable choice.

The problem is that with those players who would be an immediate improvement to us whilst still being young is the approach we tried last season and ultimately barely helped us improve our position and with this failure i doubt we can spend the money to get young improvements in out team. It all depends on the philosophy Suing wants to take us, I personally have no problem with us taking a couple years out of the CL race and placing our eggs in young kids baskets. This does of course depend on Icardi staying, if he does we should invest in youth and if he doesnt we should go for immeadiate success with the money he would provide us.

From what's been reported, Thohir told Mancini that CL football is essential. So I'm not sure management feels it's okay to miss out on CL for a couple of years.

I think it comes down to the kind of players we are pursuing. Mancini wants Touré and Candreva (wanted Zabaleta as well, didn't he?), the board might feel that there are other targets that should be sought. In any case, even if they want a younger squad, I don't believe they'll adopt a patient approach - they might want young guys (25, 26) who they feel can elevate our quality not long after they arrive.

New management homie. Tbh I like suning's approach. We tried the short term approach just getting back for one year, and it hasn't been working. So if they're serious about this ground zero approach, then I'm all for it. And if this is their way of getting Mancini to take a hike, so be it. Hire a coach who has a long term systematic approach to the project and I'd be thrilled.

Queue the conspiracy theories. Perhaps Mancini as already resigned.
