What about signing a striker who scored 36 goals in his last two Serie A seasons? He is only 27 years old and entering his prime! He plays for a team that is fighting relegation, and still he scored 36 goals in 69 matches! Impressive! His name is David Suazo.


Stats don't mean everything. He may have scored more goals than Lavezzi, but they have different roles on their teams. I'd still say that Lavezzi would fit like a glove in our current team. Palacio too wouldn't be a bad acquisition, but the sole hypocrisy in stating that we will rejuvenate our team and then offer a 30-year old a 4-year contract is just.. unbelievable.

Look i can understand why he is coming. Forlan is leaving Zarate is leaving and as well ( most likely ) Pazzini, so we have Castaqnos and Milito, so getting him Experienced player aint bad at all, but i do agree 11 mill is way to much, but again he can be good signing, but not for 11 mill.

You must know we are building young team, yes we already have Guarin and we do have Poli as well, And then we have Obi and we have couple of young players as well such as faraoni Alvarez Ranno, we do need some older players to show the way for the youngsters, building young team isnt an easy task.

Lets hope he is decent for us if he comes, and not fail like zarate or Forlan or Pazzini

Man, Palacio statistic's show that he scored 19 goals this season. Lavezzi has scored only 9. Why do i have the feeling that Lavezzi would be a flop here, at our club? Btw, don't give me that crap on Eto's position, as i said he was awesome and i won't take that away from him, you don't have to sell him to me, i'm well aware of everything that happened.

Gonna see where this goes before I lose my shit. The futures of Pazzo, Forlan, Zarate and Cast are up in the air at this point. All four could be leaving as far as we know. We will need replacements and while Palacio isn't everyones first choice, he is a decent player still. I just hope the contract length or wages aren't absurd considering his age.

He IS too expensive, but he is NOT bad player. That's all i can say.

The biggest fail would be that 4 years contract, but maybe they are giving 4 years contract with LOW wages, like below 2 mils? If so, not that bad of a deal.

Ideally, he would cost us 7 mils and we offer them 1.5 mils per year for 2 years. But it ain't ideal world.

I just hope he is not the ONLY forward we sign. Him + Lavezzi would be perfect. Only him, not so much.
