I don't mean to judge Lukaku atm, but the common logic "The others overpaid af so we overpay too is fine" is nonsense. Why take examples mostly from Inter and...freaking Milan? Why not Dortmund whom bought THREE great forwards for 75m as an example?
Romelu Lukaku was given a t-shirt by the Curva Nord ultras. He didn’t hesitate to wear it and roam around the city with it.
Personal thanks for that comment.Serge Ibaka lol
Is it me or is he REALLY insecure about his body?

Limited-Edition Puma King Platinum Romelu Lukaku Signature Boots Released
Following his move to Inter Milan, Puma have honored Romelu Lukaku with his own pair of limited-edition signature boots based on the recently introduced King Platinum silo.
Inspired by the boots worn by Lukaku's dad when he used to play in Belgium in the early 1990s, the new cleats are black with a white outsole and white accents.
Lukaku said of the new boots: “Indirectly I feel connected with the shoes. My Dad was wearing these shoes scoring goals with the these in the Belgium First Division. In the year I was born in ’93, he was wearing these shoes basically.
“At a later age me and my dad would wear the same size shoe. For a good 3 to 4 years we used to share boots. It’s nice to see the new version of these compared to the version my father would wear.”
[...] Lukaku will wear the new boots for one game only, the Serie A opener against Lecce later this month.
It's weird because the man is fucking ripped, but for a footballer he is technically overweight, and due to the very strong relationship between the word overweight and the idea of being fat he's now a walking fat joke.
I guess it might get to him, as I'm sure it would get to most of us. But if we want to talk about fat strikers, Higuain in his last year at Juve and at Milan is an actual example.
When many people are calling him overweight, it's really expected for Lukaku to have insecurities about his body.
Piguain was/is definitely fat.
Lukaku is not ripped though. Ibra for example, was/is ripped. Lukaku still has a lot of 'softness' all over. I reckon he's in the 12-15% bodyfat range (hopefully not more) and he needs to be in the single digits, closer to 5-8%
5% BF is competitive range , and may have a negative effect on his endurance and would be hard to sustain all season long .
