Has he been posting anything on his social media to give us any hints of his plans/future? I don't follow him but even if he usually does post regularly and now he's not that could be telling.

I hate the fact that I'm asking about it to have an idea.

It's only a dream selling Lukaku for 100-120m. I don't see an offer more than 60-80m and it is ok. As you say hes's 28yo. He won't get any better. Either he will remain with that team in his 30' years or that team will take a financial loss, if he will underperform.

This. Lukaku's peak value will be exactly this summer, probably right after Euros. Bidding war between City and Chelsea please after Euros. Sell him for 100m€ and be done with it. No more big sales required, we keep the young core and can even buy someone to replace him.

Next summer he's gonna be 29 and those English clubs aren't gonna break the bank for him anymore, specially as they have probably got their CFs by then (this summer).

It's not about COVID prices. It's about supply and demand. The basic oldest rule of economics. If someone want Lukaku badly because he believe he would be an important piece of the puzzle, then we could milk them. The same with Conte. He wanted Lukaku and only Lukaku, so we pay probably more then United hoped for.
Let's hope there is another one that is dispose to pay a hefty price for him.

I don't think that we can ignite a bidding war for two reasons. The first one is because everyone knows that we are desperate and the second is that Lukaku is a cheaper alternative to Kane and Halland. I mean, neither City nor Chelsea will spend 120+mln for him, when they can get anyone of the above-mentioned players for 150mln.
