His debut with us was against Torino. I was quite curious because he was Serie A best GK and he had to replace J. Cesar which was a huge boot to fill. I was instantly convinced when he made a flying save and caught the ball firmly effortlessly. And it was the first of many great saves he has pulled off for us.

Personally, I rate his performance against Sampdoria in 2014 as his best game with us:

His second best was against Milan in 2021 when he saved our ass 3 times:

Be that as it may, the quality of his saves is still less than the quality of his character. Just like Zanetti, he managed to stay with us for more than a decade thick and thin. It is very hard to find loyal players nowadays especially when we went through a very turbulent phase. Again, grazie Handa.

I don't wanna distract from outpouring of Handa love, but I guess this means we've more or less sorted the GK situation. I would expect some moves to be made soon.

Imo it actually means we're definitely selling Onana. We need two GKs who can fight for a starting spot and not someone on the twilight of his career who will just play cup games.

Holy shit, I can't believe it, this is actually happening.

Can't believe the video tribute did not include any of his triple saves in the Derby when we won Scudetto or the famous Atalanta save.

as 2nd gk he could've helped Onana's replacement to adapt
