Well, Longo was a peculiar case. We over-evalueted him because we needed it for the books. But being the poor player he is, we never found someone willing to pay for him as much as we needed to avoid a negative value. At some point we extended his contract to lower his value in the books and even doing so, we could never get rid of him.

Forum SupporterMan, i remember first time i saw this kid, 2011 or 2012, i went to watch open practice match at Apianno, sorta like A team vs B team, this kid scored like 5 goals in partnership with Milito.
I thought he was gonna become someone, especially having Milito to learn from.

Inter striker Samuele Longo is on his way back to Spain with Deportivo La Coruna, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The 27-year-old remains on Inter’s books, despite playing just two competitive games for the club.
He had been called up for preseason, but Di Marzio expects him to become a Depor player.
Longo has played his best football in the Spanish second tier with Girona and Tenerife, scoring 26 goals across two campaigns.
He also netted four times in La Liga with Espanyol and Huesca.

10 years of FIFForum SupporterWhen we got Gasperini as a coach, i was in Milano, and went to Appiano to watch a open practice match, first team vs under 17/18 i think.
This guy played with first team, partnering with Milito up top, and he scored 5 goals! The game i think ended 6-1, or something, and i thought, he's gonna become someone. Nope! Not even close.
That was also the practice i saw Ricky Alvarez live, and i called it, he's way overrated! Not even close to Inter material.
So i guess i left the game 1-1 in predictions

Given that his market value is currently €1m and we are probably giving him on a free loan, I expect somewhere in the range of €1m.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, Samuele Longo has accepted to join Deportivo La Coruna on loan for this upcoming season. But that’s not all, in the contract, there is obligation to buy only in case of a promotion.
So after he is back from Asia tour, he is heading towards Spain. Good luck with the promotion!

What I don't get is how can we loan him while he only has 1 year left contract. After the loan finished, then his contract with us expired. To solve this issue, usually the club require the player to extend the contract before the player go out on loan. But in this case, do we want to extend his contract?
We should make new category in our legend rank. Legendary Loan!
