Sandro Mazzola is undoubtedly one of the greatest strikers ever to grace the Nerazzurri club. Son of the great Valentino Mazzola, who died while playing for Torino in the Superga Air Crash (1949), Sandro was never expeted to reach the heights that he did.
He was a player who had a rather frail appearance, but a dogged determination. From the 1962/63 season, Sandro won trophies for four seasons consecutively winning major honours such as the European Cup and a Scudetto. Under Helenio Herrera, Sandro Mazzola proved to be a vital part of "La Grande Inter" of the 60's.
After several roles with Inter, Mazzola occasionally appears on Italian TV programmes.
