I fear Fiorentina are just priming their fans for the Chiesa sale. Most likely to Rube.

Quite a shite existence Viola supporters have to deal with. Anytime they have a star player or soon to be star player, they inevitably get sold to their most hated enemy for a pittance.

Saw some reports that Juventus would be willing to give up Emre Can to facilitate getting in Rakitic.

Rumor goes that while everything was agreed and ready for Rugani to Roma, for some reason it's stopped.

I enjoy so much of Juventus' misery of trying to sell players. Icardi - Dybala keeps on being alive.

Requesting a warning for dyNasty27- posting off-topic in thread called Serie A calcio mercato. My assumption is that he saw my post in the forwards thread and tried to emulate the joke.

on-topic: Lozano to Napoli official for €38m + potentially €2m in bonuses, not €40m.

Napoli sure like their diminutive players lol.

Lozano is a good player though from what I've seen and the price wasn't absurd like 90% of transfers these days. He'll fit right into that squad IMO. They still need that star striker to put them over the top though.

We are not MLS (at least, not yet), but still, I adore me some Ribery in Serie A, even at 36 and no matter how “boiled” he is.

Lozano was a treadmill signing. I don't see how it brings them any closer to Juve than they already were. They made the transfer for the sake of making a transfer.

Personally I thought Fabian Ruiz would be a flop but he had a pretty good season. As for Verdi though, I think everyone could see that one falling flat from a mile off.

Lozano seemed decent at best when I saw him vs us in the CL last season and for Mexico at the world cup but I simply haven't seen enough to make a proper judgment.

I agree, Verdi was easy to call. As was Politano for that matter. But Lozano is a tough one. Any attacker who comes from the fodder dutch league with open spaces will struggle in Serie A generally. But then, IMO Lozano will fit into Ancelotti's Napoli like a hand in glove. He has the quality, and he will fit well in that team, the only question mark is whether he can adapt to playing in a league where there is little space to exploit.

I think he will do reasonably well.

attacking players in Napoli mostly do well, so since we already know Lozano has quality, that he will do well

but he isn't a big upgrade, he's just an early replacement for Callejon
