Stam Chose Milan Over Inter
8/5/2004 9:52:00 PM
Jaap Stam revealed today during his first press conference as an AC Milan player that Roberto Mancini tried to convince him last season to join Inter.
"Mancini spoke about Inter all the time last year but as soon as I heard that the rossoneri wanted me I knew where I wanted to go," the Dutch defender said. "I have won the league in every country that I have played in so the scudetto is a priority for me even though I have me head set on all competitions".

"I chose AC Milan because they are the best team in Italy and probably the world," he added. "I want to win a lot, everything possibly, so I think that I am in the right place to do so".

bla bla .....

==============

If this is exactly what Stam told, then it's clear that Mancini was destined to Inter long time back (during last season). No wonder there were so many rumours all the time that Mancini would join Inter next season. :)

:star:

As I had pointed out. ;)
Mancini did have to make an official declaration coz of Stam's interview. :D

Now that Juve offloaded Baiocco to Perugia they only have 8 midfielders. What the hell is Moggi smoking? :wth: Maybe they´ll buy some before midnight...

The question is: What the hell are you smoking? :wth: Most of the people in the world agrees that 2 players per position is sufficient. Hence, most of us disagree with you. So, who is smoking now? ;)

Moggi. Plus there is risk that Inter run into injury hell. (know it is off topic).

Example: When both Davids and CZ is out you will be happy that Cambi was bought. No? ;)

good to see that Bojinov has stayed in the Serie A as the stronger the serie a is the better for Inter!

Fiorentina surely hit the jackpot, but I think Bojinov made quite a stupid move for his career. He could have waited until June and move to a much better team.

I wonder what kind of deal he signed with the Viola. Oh well...

Frisko i dont think its a stupid move at all, he is only 18 and im sure he will have a chance to move to a bigger club some point in his career...

IMO Bojinov going to fiorentina will only improve his career because he is a sure starter rather than going to Chelsea and warming the bench for Drogba

:star: transfer for Viola now they should concentrate on not getting relegated and im sure Zoff is compitent enough to make sure they remain in Seria A

Miccoli ----- Bojinov :scared: now thats a scary duo....add pazzani to that and Viola are set upfront for many years to come

R_20 I think that he should have stayed in Lecce then. Fiorentina is just doing terrible considering all the talents they have.

Very bad choice, if you ask me.

I'm with ye, Frisko, with ye...

Lecce has been doing very well this season if you ask me. They may have had the worst defensive problem in the 3rd millennium thus far but prior to the Roma game, I think they have kept 2 clean sheets in a row. Plus, Zdenek Zeman is a great coach who nurture the talent of the genius known as Totti today. He would definitely be a better mentor than Zoff.

I'm quite sure that the biggest reason of Bojinov's move is money. It is a very harsh and quick decision that is made without much thinking IMO. Bojonov should have stayed in the club he has settled in for the rest of the season. With his current form, he could easily ended up with a 20-goal season and that would attract far bigger clubs that Fiorentina. I, for one, am sure that Milan would be drooling over the prospect of lining him up with Shevchenko.

Internazionale
Bojinov crticized Zeman's style, and he said that winning is more important than scoring goals and entertainment. For me, that's an odd answer from a striker. He was the no.1 beneficiary from Zeman's style but I guess the italian mentality is creeping into his brain.

And Zeman replied Bojinov with 2 straight 1-0 wins. I wonder what more could he ask? Oh wait, I know. $$$$$$$$$
