This is Inzaghi's flaw since he came at Inter, and this season he has some improvement in that aspect and let's hope to keep improving in future as well.
I really hope him starting to rotate more till the end of the season, considering our comfortable lead. Players like Asllani, Frattesi, Buchanan and Bisseck shall play much more. Maybe it's good to try some experiments like deploying Pavard as CB or Asllani as mezzala. Frattesi shall start every match to build up confidence with Barella and Mkhitaryan sharing the other spot.
But he will try to break Jube's points record most probably, playing the starters every match no matter what.

lol typical overreaction I expected but also some rational reactions I didn’t expect IMO we’ve freaking overachieved with this squad based on how I perceived it coming into the season. I felt Lautaro was too inconsistent as a striker and it would hurt us in the long run, and that didn’t really happen unless you count the clutch factor in CL. I thought Thuram would be a lame duck and his game wouldn’t translate in our team set up and Serie A as a whole but he has overachieved by far, his consistency is still up for debate since the sample size is small and as it stands I really don’t think he will replicate this next season, so if a reasonable offer comes I would be inclined to sell. I thought our defence would get worse since we lost Skriniar and Inzaghi had proven to be inconsistent with his defensive organisation but we way overachieved on that as well. I didn’t think we’d get out of our group stage in CL and I didn’t think we’d be in the grand position we’re in by 16 points up in Serie A in March!?

Look guys, this match should have been wrapped up in the first leg if we were clinical enough. Even this second leg we had one foot over the finish line. We’re not a team of world beaters like some would like to believe. We’re a team of free transfers and gambles that paid off, usually it’s Suning’s recipe for “let’s just TRY and get top four in Serie A” and here we are, barring an absolute catastrophe, in a sure fire position to win Serie A. Bottom line is I am satisfied so far, because I thought this season would be absolutely dog shit and Inzaghi would get the sack and we’d start from year zero again. This is far from the case and we have done well because of the wonderful chemistry of good coaching and camaraderie. A recipe for success, but its sustainability is murky because the future of our ownership is murky. So let’s just relax, refocus and hopefully enjoy the coming of the second star this season. We should be proud of this team for this at least.

Maybe if we had more quality upfront he would bring it to the pitch. We have really great quality in defence than other parts of the squad. We miss greatly a proper back up striker or offensive midfielder.

This Inter team should try to impose their own game, not cautiously wait. Though the chaotic defense largely made that impossible even if Inzaghi had wanted to.

This is the big elephant in the room for Inzaghi. It happened to Dzeko and now with Mikhi. While I could give excuses with Dzeko (we had no proper replacement, plus Lukaku injury last season), with Mikhi is just a proper wrong judgement. He had Frattesi the whole year and still he outplayed the 35yo Mikhi. In september when Mikhi played great and ran hundreds km on the pitch, nobody gave a shit. But now in knock-out competition after such a brutal schedule, you have an exausted grandpa and a player who doesn`t have enough minutes under his belt to make an impact.
The same story with Bisseck. When Pavard was absent he stepped up and was good. Pavard comes back and Bisseck ate bench completely for a few games.
With Asllani is more tragic. When you buy a 19yo kid who played only half a seaon of professional football, you either let him at his old team to develop or give him playing time (and by playing time, I don`t mean a few minutes in extra-time). Letting him rotting on the bench becuase "he is not ready" is the most stupid solution.
Some said that Buchanan should have played. But he barely played a few minutes since he is here. He may theoretically have the attributes for this game, but is suicide to throw him now, when you didn`t count on him for months.

Inzaghi need to be better here. And he has his own example with DiMarco and Augusto.
