Generally I agree, but even without the second star, we shall keep him unless we become suddenly reach. Inzaghi proved that he can deliver very good results with limited budget. And I don't mean only Inter but Lazio as well.

yes the stats are 100% + he have 2 titles and 3 trophies with us which makes him almost a grande, just imagine if he had a stronger bench.
he defnetly deserves more techincal players in midfield someone similar to thuram.

My criticism to Inzaghi is that at this stage of the season he needs to preserve our top players, giving some starts to the likes of Frattesi, Asllani, Bisseck, Arnautivic etc. Not only using them as subs in the last 10-15min.

Maybe we are winning because he doesn't really start most of our bench. The biggest fuck up was the Coppa game against Bologna, where Lautaro missed a penalty and got himself injured. Luckily we only lost 2 points in his absence. In all other cases Inzaghi made good decisions

Shows this teams ability to bounce back. Same as the first two Conte seasons. We reached an european final and then we wanted more the next season...

What I like the most about Inzaghi is that he also improved with every new season at Inter. Every year we see something new from him and some positive change/adaptation.

Inzaghi has said he wants to stay at Inter for even longer that he stayed at Lazio. Also he has never showed any desire to work abroad. I am not even sure he can speak English.

Yeah,that was one of my other reasons why he would stay.

Side note: I always thought people in Italy either don't know English or are not willing to speak but when I was in Milano recently I got complete opposite impression. Maybe just luck/coincidence.

I haven't been to Milan, but it's far from uncommon for people who live in major cities/tourist areas to have passable English, both in my experience and from what I've heard from others. It can actually be a bit of a double-edged sword for visitors who want to practice a foreign tongue because what they see as a chance to practice their [insert country's language here] is what some natives see as a chance to practice their English. In any case, it's once you get into the provincial areas that a reliance on English will begin to fail you.

Yeah but I have a feeling it is like that for most of the countries. Italy just have that stereotype (?!) that regular people on the streets are not willing to talk to you on English.

It used to be true that the average Italian could speak little to no English.

Over the decades, the younger generation seems to be getting better and better, and there were/have been long-running government schemes which fund short courses for school children to go to countries like Ireland, the UK and Malta on short language courses. Although these courses aren't enough to turn a low-level speaker into a high-level one, they do serve as a motivator/eye-opener for these kids that a decent level of English is a) essential in today's world and b) not that difficult to achieve.

Not to mention that in today's world with the Internet and media in general, exposure to the English language is almost impossible to avoid in countries like Italy.

Now we're at a point where most Italians below a certain age*, especially in metropolitan areas, are able to hold their own in a conversation in English.

To be competitive year after year you need to have :

1. Great coach like Pep who always invents something. Or experienced grandpa Ancelotti who doesnt feel pressure even at Real.

2. Money for transfers. You need to bring 1-2 quality players every year even if you have a top top side. You need new fresh blood and players, even established starters need to fight for a spot. Sometimes you even need to sell a star to shock the team!

3. Because If you don't do point 2 , players eventually can't keep up the pressure and motivation levels.

4. (You need Marotta. Lucky us!)

You can see this strategy 1.2.3 only @ few big clubs who actually are contenders for every available trophy every year . Real, City, Bayern.

Beppe is doing it here too, but without pockets full of cash. Imagine if we just have funds for 1-2 top top quality additions. So we have Taremi and Zielinski , but when arrives the day when we can just call PSG and Bayern for Hakimi and DeLigt and tell them " name your price"

Just remember Conte who couldn't do anything against big clubs while he had a better resource.(Yes I know I'm grateful him for the scudetto)
Just imagine if we had a proper budget, we would slaughter every single fucking team that we would face.
We and he need this scudetto, so I hope we'll win it and he'll stay here for a long time.
Tbh, before ucl final, i didn't pretty positive about him, but after that, while we didn't win it, I'm totally moved by our performance and the style of playing using players like Darmian, Mkhi who nobody taught they can be used in a club like Inter!
