What does this aim to achieve?

Developing more players. The argie league sucks now. Their teams have 0 money and anyone even remotely good gets bought in the U17 or U20 tourneys. Maybe its for them to build up their league tho 30 is insane. Argentina isn't that big to have that many clubs in 1st division.

Why would that develop more players? What's the point of the 30th placed team having a promising player only to get raped by a team 29 positions higher than them? Now instead of a young player having less pressure to perform the team will now have to fight for survival more and more. Not great conditions to build talent.

No clue tho think a 30 team league would work in the US when its more popular as its such a huge country or Brazil.

All the other South American countries have 2-3 good teams and the rest all suck.

The only thing that moves the world: Money. The only thing they want to archieve is more money, and I think Grondona admitted it... There will be 15 matches every weekend, and even more matches with that "mini-leagues" to qualify to the Sudamericana.
I find this new system very disgusting, and the only thing that will archieve, is to disvalue even more our league. There will be 15 teams that at the middle of the tournament won't have to worry about relegation, but also will be too far from fighting the championship, so they will have to wait to that fucking "liguilla" to have a chance to play the Sudamericana.
It is very curious that right now, Independiente is not promoting! They are 4th at the second division, when only 3 teams can promote to the first division... And also Racing Club would have very serious problems with the complicated "promedios" in the next season... and now, with this new system, their problems are solved... coincidence?

A thirty team league is far too much, surely they wouldnt be enough time to play in the league, cup and continental matches.

Independiente lost their match against Gimnasia de Jujuy and now are 5th, 2 points away from promotion... more reasons for this weird new tournament?

haha didn't it take River 1-2 years to get promoted? Shocked that they didn't change the system when River got demoted haha. Glad they are back on top and hope they win the league. Why does Boca Suck now is the management stealing even more money then before?

It took them only one year to get promoted, but just because their best friend: AYUDÍN

Speaking of retirements, Verón has just played his last home game before retiring and Estudiantes won 3-0
Heinze also played his last home game before retiring, and Newell's won 4-2

I don't know what will happen to Riquelme, but in case the management doesn't renew his contract, tomorrow could be his last home game...

Doesn't Riquelme suck? I never liked him he seemed to always be asking for a new contract and more money every 6 months and always seemed to have a issue with your management. I never understood why they put up with his shit. Guy wasn't even that good all it was is if he was anywhere near his free kick range it was 70% a goal

Actually, I'm starting to think he chooses the matches he wants to play well... you can notice that at the moment the management said they doubted whether if renew his contract or not, he started playing somehow good... and as the resting 10 players are crap (I dunno if on purpose so Riquelme mades a better impression, or because they're just like that), to play "somehow good" is enough...
but it's complicated, because he doesn't even play 50% of Boca's games, and also we all know the internal problems he generates... I dunno, I think it wouldn't be a bad thing for Boca if he doesn't continue here...

Tomorrow at 14hs (Argentina, GMT-3) Independiente will play a tie-breaker against Huracán to decide who will be promoted to the first division. There is a lot of expectation for this match, in spite of the fact that the World Cup is about to begin. Independiente's fans are very scared :yao:because they wasted an incredible chance last sunday by drawing home against Patronato

San San San San Lorenzo wins the Copa Libertadores. El Eqipo del Papa!!!

They have been on an upward trajectory since they got almost relegated but were saved by Banfield pulling one of the worst debacles (got like 12 points in 39 games), played relegation playoffs but didn't melt down like River did.

Boca-River in the Copa Sudamericana (Not Copa Libertadores) semifinals. Should be fun with River carrying a 30 game non losing streak, but you know Boca would like nothing more than to play spoilers.

The other semi is between Sao Paulo with Kaka, Ganso, Bastos, Palito Pereira etc. who got through an Ecuadorian (Emelec) team just barely in the previous round with an agg of 6-5. They'll be going against a Colombian team, Atletico Nacional, which is the team crzdcolombian roots for I believe. So yeah crz vs Brazil. There.Will. Be. Blood.

Colombia just fucked over 2 of the teams left. Took 2 players from River and 3 from Nacional

Final def going to be Boca v Sao Paulo

Haha Nacional sucks. Colombia league is retarded and burns players out. Its 18 games of everyone v everyone. Then 12 games of playoffs!!! then 2 games in a final. 2-3 weeks later the next league starts. The champion always does shitty after words because of that.

Nacional has won the last two colombian leagues but is pretty much completely burnt out or half injured. Even if they weren't injured they were stupid and didn't buy any strikers this season. I mean they beat Minero in the Copa Lib but they were a much much better team last year.

Boca-River was a horrible game. It ended 0-0 and River mostly tried to kick Boca and not let the game flow. Waste of time. Hopefully Milan-Inter isn't that horrible.

haha yea quality of South American soccer is awful. Any player who is in South America is just a euro reject or a guy dying to leave.

Nacional beat Sao Paulo and they have No one !! Cardona + 10 clowns.

River as well really disappointed
