Harpsabu, thanks for your response. We pride ourselves on being a bit different to other teams and have had both good and bad times. If you want a new manager - Roy Hodgson is free (only joking!). Maybe a good young Italian manager is what Inter need, someone to shake things up a bit. Also someone who will play more Italian players who might bring some heart to the team.
I think VVD is a born leader and therefore comes across as a bit arrogant - this would have been worse at Celtic, where they have no real domestic competition at the same level - but I think that he's a real star for Saints, especially as he is consistent.
I hope you get better this season (especially against Sparta and Hapoel!) - over the two games I have sometimes felt it was like watching an aging lion trying to keep going. Someone on here mentioned relegation - it is not the worst thing in the world. If it is a wake up call then who knows, it may be the best thing to happen.
Good luck against Crotone at the weekend

Firmino - also thanks.
One thing I didn't say is that I believe it's time for fans to get their teams back. I wish people would support their own local teams in whatever the country and work to improve them. I don't like US or Asian ownership or the globalisation of the fan base - there's no connection to the team. My father supported Southampton, I support Southampton and my son supports Southampton - we do it whatever the results. When Southampton nearly went out of business I couldn't even dream of supporting anyone else. Sure, I look out for results of teams in other countries who I follow for various reasons but support them - no! There's a difference between supporters (stupid people like me, who support whatever happens) and fans (those who watch on TV, celebrate the successes and wear the shirt because it's a fashion statement). Without supporters our teams die or just become plastic imitations.

they are great businessmen but when it comes to football they are extremely naif. they think they can simply buy their way to the top but still haven't realized that the world of football is full of people more than ready to take advantage of them, first and foremost their privileged "advisor", kia jorabchian or whatever that crook is called. i guess it will take a couple of years of being fucked by pretty much everyone before they become a bit smarter.
Firmino - also thanks.
