Historically though atletico have shown they're pretty damn good at replacing strikers when they need to.

If I was an atletico my biggest fear would be griezmann leaving without management having a chance of finding an immediate replacement

Yeah well he has to know if he doesn't leave this coming summer then he's probably there till at least the following summer. It really comes down to how badly he wants to leave, however I haven't heard of his agent engineering a move or saying things like "Premier League Clubs are interested".

theres no chance of that.

There are chances. Some Spanish reporters said they can't get away like Barca did as they got the verdict in Jan and have good time to appeal and get it done. Barca were banned in April so they didn't have much time.

So it might be actual ban and Madrid clubs won't be able to sign players like Barca did in summer.

Also I don't think it impacts Madrid so much except they can't sign whoever is the new shiny toy in Euro 2016. Their team is already good. They will have problems if Ronaldo continues to sulk and wants out, Benzema is jailed.

Lol we're nit picking here. Yes you're right not every signing will work, but how many holes does a team like real have to begin with?

Need a new CB? And a new holding midfielder? they'll buy 5 players this summer and hope 1 or 2 of them work out.

I'm more curious how Atletico will handle this. Probably sell Griezmann in the summer and try to rebuild?

dont forget they only have squads of 25..

I wonder how this emphasis in the rules will affect Inter. The youth roster, from the lowest levels up, have foreign players though I have no idea how inter sign them. Might be that those players moved to Italy young, and for reason other than football, and Inter signs them from Italian academies instead of being International transfers.

If anyone finds an article that details clearly what the Spanish clubs are accused of doing wrong I'd like to read it.
Yeah... I'm braced for Inter getting a ban soon..

You misunderstand.

There's no chance of them instancing a ban RIGHT NOW with NO CHANCE OF APPEAL Not how the systems work.

I think what monster09 meant, was that Real and Atletico have more time now, so even if they make an appeal 6 months is long enough to turn the appeal down, but Barca managed to get some leeway that summer because the ruling came only 2 months before the transfer window and because of that the appeal wasn't turned down in due time, and they managed to post-pone the punishment.

The way the ball moved and curved was a sight to be seen, best goal he'll ever score.

Atletico outplayed them in the first 18 minutes, otherwise it was pretty balanced until the red card came. Felipe Luis is a moron.

Atletico could have won if not for that stupid red card.

Read my post again. First atletico was on fire, then it was balanced until the red card came aaaaaaaaand Atletico would have won if not for that moronic foul on Messi. Where did I say Barcelona was better?

Atletico fucked themselves.
