There's no such thing as "court". It's a sporting court and it is run by FIGC itself.

Also, they can ship you out if you refuse to participate in the tournament the league is subscribed to. We are subscribed to UEFA and their tournaments. We abide by their rules. If we qualify for CL and tell them we don't wanna go, Serie A can dump us.

Since this is a 2024 story, it shouldn't affect this season. Anyway...

I think I still care. I'm sure I definitely will when I sit down to watch it on Wednesday, even it's because it might be one of the last 'normal' games this club plays for a long time.

...But also, if you have a look at the new proposal for the Champions League, it looks pretty much exactly like the ESL, including privileged spots for 'historical' clubs. After all that, I feel like nothing is going to change.

This is pretty much where I'm at. I have no idea what the future holds beyond this season, and my disgust for this club even being involved in something like this is enough to make me want to vomit. But, as someone who's only been a fan since the mid-'10s and has no idea what winning a trophy here feels like, I didn't come this far, with this good a chance to win the Scudetto, just to quit now. There's also always the chance that cooler heads will prevail at some point, and I don't want to say or do something that I know I'm going to end up walking back on because I was in a rush to judgment.

So I'll reassess my personal feelings once the season is over. Until then, it's still Forza Inter to the fullest.

Well, I've come to a conclusion, and I probably won't be watching this match, if even the rest of the season.

It's not even meant as a great or grand statement of activism or boycotting. Rather, it has suddenly hit me that with the very sudden announcement of the ESL and our supposed involvement, the club has more or less told us - the fanbase - that anything but the Super League is irrelevant. Now, after ten long years of not winning anything we're so very, very close to dethroning Juventus and writing a new, big chapter in our history, but what is the club's indirect stance? Money is more important than titles or success on the pitch, and by entering this new monstrosity of a tournmant we're not only disregarding fair play and sporting achievemtents, we'll also even run the very real risk of suspension from Serie A - our bread and butter - to stuff our Chinese overlords' pockets and please our shareholders.
This season has been irrelevant, the last 7 matches are irrelevant, and it doesn't matter if we win the championship - as long as we're part of the big boy club.

That's more or less the message, as shameful and disheartening as it is.

Why the fuck should I then pretend to care about a match against Spezia, or any match for that matter?

Guys, whatever happens with ESL, I see little to no chance of Inter leaving the Serie A anytime soon. There is no way the 12 morons will leave their domestic leagues. That is why FIGC, FA, etc are using that as a threat.

Knowing the effort our team left on the field, to be at this point in time on first place in the league must not miss out on support from fans. Whole decade has gone without being even close to winning a Scudetto. I mean it's not like I like Inter to be in this with Rubentus, but it's not it ever was gonna happen without them.
